教学设计
一、教学目标
1. 掌握词汇和灵活运用本模块词汇和短语:pale, appear, rund, crner, hit, glad, in time, fall ff, risk, side by side, pay attentin, bit, climb, hide, thrw, fridge, pain, wrse, medicine
2. 掌握句型:
(1) While the lights were changing t red, a car suddenly appeared rund the crner.
(2) When Henry was trying t find the snake, his hand began t hurt badly.
(3) I was trying t pick it up when it bit me again.
3. 通过听、说、读和写等各种活动和练习,学生能够掌握过去进行时与when 和while 引

【设计意图】通过设置情景和小组讨论,拓宽学生的思维,提高学生的安全意识,并使学生具备一定的应变能力,复习上一单元的知识并且紧扣本模块主题。
Step 2 Presentatin
1. Language practice.
(1) T shws the imprtant sentences and asks Ss t fill in the blanks.

(1) Ask Ss t lk what Tny did last Saturday, then cmplete the Yu clumn.
(2) Then T asks Ss t write sentences. Fllw the example belw:

(1) Ask Ss t read the wrds in the bx and say their Chinese meanings.
(2) T asks Ss t read the incmplete cnversatin and try t fill in the blanks with the crrect frm f the wrds in the bx.
(3) Check the answers as a class.
【设计意图】本活动是第二单元课文的延伸,设置了亨利被咬后与医生的一段对话,是一个语言综合训练活动,既考查学生在真实语境中对不同动词的运用能力,又检测学生对不同时态的掌握,特别是一般过去时的用法。

(1) Ask Ss t read the expressins in the bx, and write dwn the Chinese meanings f these expressins.
(2) Ask Ss t cmplete the passage with the crrect frm f the expressins in the bx.
(3) T checks the answer as a class.
【设计意图】本活动要求学生运用本模块中的重点短语完成文段。学生可以借此活动来巩固、检测自己对这些短语的掌握情况。

(1) T asks Ss t read the incmplete news reprt and try t cmplete it with the crrect frm f the wrds in brackets.
(2) Check as a class.

7. Wrk n Activity 6.
(1) T plays the recrding and asks Ss t cmplete the accident reprt.
(2) T plays the recrding again and asks Ss t check their answers.
(3) T asks Ss t read the reprt ludly and learn hw t write a reprt.
【设计意图】本活动围绕本模块话题“事故”展开,主要考查学生对于过去进行时用法的掌握情况。短文挖空的形式是中考常考的听力测试题型,学生通过练习把握听力技巧,增强听力能力。

Step 5 Summary
when和while 在时间状语从句与过去进行时连用中的不同用法:
when意为"在……时刻或时期",它可兼指"时间点"与"时间段",所引导的从句的动词既
可以是终止性动词,也可是持续性动词。
while只指"时间段",不指"时间点",从句的动词只限于持续性动词。如:
