教学设计
一、教学目标
1. 掌握词汇：cap, chess, set, a chess set, chpstick, ty, vide, vide game, gift, surprise, immediately, difference, accept, traditin, example, fr example, must, mnth, serius, taste
2. 掌握句型：
(1) I dn’t think I shuld pen it nw. In China, we pen a gift later. Yu needn’t wait!
(2) mustn’t d any cleaning n the first day f the Spring Festival. Yu can’t be serius!
3. 能够听懂接收礼物的方式和打开礼物的时间的不同。
4. 能够谈论在学校或者在餐桌上的礼仪和习惯。
5. 能够正确朗读情态动词和含有情态动词的句子。
6. 能够正确使用情态动词must / must nt / can / can nt / need / needn’t等。
7. 能够了解尊重其他国家的传统习俗和生活方式。
二、教学重点及难点
重点：掌握听懂接收礼物的方式和打开礼物的时间的不同。
难点：掌握谈论在学校或者在餐桌上的礼仪和习惯。

四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
T shws sme pictures t the class and asks them t watch. Then T and Ss make sentences with must and mustn’t.
【设计意图】通过看图片，结合图片内容用must和mustn’t造句，使学生自然地使用情态动词must，激发学生的兴趣，导入新课。
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. T lists the new wrds and leads the class t read alud.
2. T asks Ss t d sme wrd exercises t remember the new wrds.
【设计意图】对本模块的生词进行学习和训练，并掌握读音和拼写。
3. T plays the recrding and asks Ss t listen and number the wrds and expressins.
4. T shws the answers and asks the class t check ut their answers.
5. T asks Ss t match the wrds and expressins in Activity 1 with the pictures.
【设计意图】通过听力选词和图片连线加深学生对单词的理解和掌握。
Step 3 While-listening
1. T shws sme questins and lets Ss skim them.
2. T plays the recrding fr the class and asks them t find the answers t the questins.
3. After listening, T asks the class t check (√) what them usually d in China.
4. T asks Ss t cmplete the table abut different behavir between China and the West.
5. T chses several Ss t read their answers.
6. T shws the answers and lets the class check their answers.
7. Listen and read the dialgue.
【设计意图】此环节注重考查学生对课文的理解能力，通过听录音回答问题, 锻炼学生筛选关键信息的能力。
Step 4 Pst-listening
1. Learn sme language pints.
(1) What a surprise!
玲玲没有想到朋友们竟然还记得她的生日，所以感到有些惊讶。What a surprise！常用来表达对意外的事情的惊讶之情。例如：
I saw my sister’s phtgraph n a magazine cver. What a surprise!我看到姐姐的照片上了杂志的封面，真令人惊讶！
Hi！What a surprise t see yu here.嗨！真没想到会在这儿见到你。
(2) It’s bad luck！
玲玲给他们将中国春节的风俗习惯，讲到不可以摔坏东西的时候，我们通常认为是不好的征兆，是不吉利的。It’s bad luck!不吉利的。
(3) Yu can’t be serius!
当玲玲讲到我们中国的习俗正月里不要理发的时候，托尼非常惊讶，表示不敢相信！Yu can’t be serius!不会吧！常用来表示不敢相信的事情，如：
He can’t be serius!他一定是开玩笑吧！
【设计意图】帮助学生掌握本课语言点。

3. Ss discuss their answers with their partners.
【设计意图】通过让学生做练习，加深他们对所学对话内容的理解。

【设计意图】 让学生朗读含有情态动词的句子，并预测情态动词的发音，然后通过听录音并大声朗读句子，帮助学生纠正发音，培养正确的语音语调。
