    一、教学目标
    1. 掌握词汇:pale, appear, rund, crner, hit, glad, in time, fall ff, risk, attentin, pay attentin, side, side by side
    2. 掌握句型:
    (1) While the lights were changing t red, a car suddenly appeared rund the crner.
    (2) S did the car hit the by?
    (3) The car stpped just in time, but the by fell ff his bike and hurt his knee.
    (4) Pay attentin, stp at the red lights and… what else?
    (5) Dn’t ride side by side with yur friends.
    3. 能够听懂别人对事故的描述。
    4. 能够简单叙述所发生的事故。
    5. 能够运用过去进行时(与when、while引导的状语从句连用)
    6. 能够掌握句子的停顿。
    7. 通过学习,使学生认识到注意安全的重要性。
    二、教学重点及难点
    重点:通过训练学生的听说能力,让学生掌握过去进行时的结构、用法及其与when 和while 引导的状语从句连用的情况。
    难点:能运用过去进行时就意外事故这一话题进行讨论。
    三、教学准备
    1. 多媒体设备和课件;
    2. 设计课后巩固练习;
    3. 教学图片。
    四、教学过程
    Step 1 Warming-up
    T lets Ss lk at the pictures and then talk.
    T: Hell, everyne. Let’s lk at these traffic signs. What’re the meanings f these signs?
    【设计意图】通过交通标志的识别,调动学生的积极性,有效活跃课堂气氛。再通过自由讨论顺利引入今天要学的知识。
    Step 2 Pre-listening
    1. Learn the new wrds and expressi.
    (1) Learn the new wrds and expressins by reading them alud tgether.
    (2) Let Ss stand up and read the new wrds and expressins ne after anther, and crrect their prnunciatins.
    2. Wrk n Activity 1.
    (1) T asks Ss t read the wrds in the bx.
    (2) Ask Ss t talk abut what is happening using the wrds in the bx.
    (3) Ask sme Ss t shw their thughts.
    3. Wrk n Activity 2.
    (1) Play the recrding and ask Ss t underline the crrect wrds.
    (2) Check the answers as a class.
    (3) Ask Ss t read the sentences carefully.
    【设计意图】对本单元的生词汇进行学习,帮助学生掌握读音和词义。看图片有助于锻炼学生的观察能力、思维能力和表达能力。听力活动不仅可以考查学生对对话大意的理解,也能让他们感知过去进行时的用法。
    Step 3 While-listening
    1. Listen and answer the questins.
    2. Listen again and cmplete the fllwing advice.
    【设计意图】听读对话目的在于培养学生的语音语调,尤其在真实交际中对语音语调的运用。要求学生根据对话内容总结出应该遵守的交通规则和注意事项,有助于帮助学生更好地理解课文。
    Step 4 Pst-listening
    1. Read the cnversatin and then talk abut the fllwing questins in grup.
    (1) Where and when did the accident happen?
    (2) What are the by and the driver ding at that time?
    (3) What is the result f the accident?
    (4) What are the advices frm the cnversatin?
    【设计意图】学生通过教师设置的问题,学生在小组讨论并回答可以激发学生的合作兴趣,同时更好的理解文章。
    2. Learn the language pints.
    Yu lk pale.
    pale adj. “苍白的,灰白的 ”,指人时形容面容缺乏健康或自然的气色,指物时表示色彩暗淡,缺乏光泽。
    While the lights were changing t red, a car suddenly appeared rund the crner.
    appear vi. 意为“出现,显露”,其反义词为“disappear 消失”。
    rund the crner 在拐角处附近
    The driver was talking n his mbile phne.
    n此处用作介词,意为“通过,使用,借助于”。常用短语:n the phne, n TV, n the Internet。
    The car stpped just in time, but the by fell ff his bike and hurt his knee.
    in time 及时;just 强调“刚刚,正好”。
    fall ff 从……跌落;从……落下。fell是fall 的过去式
    Pay attentin, stp at the red lights and … what else?
    pay attentin意为“注意,留意”
    Dn’t ride side by side with yur friends.
    side by side意为“并排地,肩并肩地”。
    Smetimes cars appear rund the crner and d nt stp.
    smetimes副词,意为“有时”。
    辨析:smetimes, smetime, sme time, sme times
    【设计意图】学习课文中出现的语言点,帮助学生更好地理解课文并让学生学会运用这些语言点。
    3. Wrk n Activity 4.
    (1) Ask Ss t read the wrds in the bx and make sure they knw the meanings.
    (2) Ask Ss t cmplete the passage with the wrds in the bx.
    (3) Check the answers tgether.
    【设计意图】巩固和运用所学单词,加深学生对对话内容的理解。
    4. Wrk n Activity 5.
    (1) Play the recrding and ask Ss t mark when the speaker pauses.
    (2) Check the answers as a class.
    (3) Play the recrding again, and ask Ss t read the tw sentences ludly.
    【设计意图】活动5的目的是为了让学生了解在朗读句子时如何正确地停顿。
    5. Ask Ss t wrk in grups f fur and play different rles.
    Student A: Yu’re a pliceman at an accident scene in the street. Ask peple questins.
    Student B, C and D: Yu saw the accident. Answer the pliceman’s questins.
    6. Ask Ss t change rles in grups and then practice the cnversatin again.
    【设计意图】要求学生在前面听、说、读等练习的基础上,进一步操练过去进行时的用法。这个活动是一个有实际交际意义的练习。
