教学重难点
【教学重点】
(1) there be 句型的一般疑问句及其肯定与否定回答，以where, what, hw引导的特殊疑问句的构成；
(2) 掌握如下句型：
I enjy playing Chinese chess with my grandpa.
We smetimes watch the neighbr’s cats climbing the trees.
【教学难点】
学会阐述某一场所各个建筑物之间的位置关系，并能利用地图向他人介绍自己所居住的社区。
教学过程
Step 1 Warming- up and revisin
T: Hell, class, s far we have learnt the new wrds and sentences in Unit 8, nw let’s have a dictatin abut the wrds and sentences.
Step 2 Presentatin
Lk at 3a. Ask the Ss lk at the map f Cindy’s neighbrhd and fill in the blanks. Then check the answers.
Step 3 Writing
Lk at 3b, ask the Ss t draw a map f yur neighbrhd and write abut it with the help f the fllwing sentences. After writing it, crrect the answers in grups, chse the mst excellent answers t read in class at last.

Step 4 Self Check 1
1. Have a cmpetitin:

Crrect the answers: free, enjy, climbing, spend.
2. Ask the Ss t find ut difficulties in the passage, and then the teacher explains them.
a) My grandma makes the fds I like. 我奶奶做我喜欢吃的食物。本句中的I like 为后置定语从句，修饰先行词fds, 此句只要求学生理解即可。
b) We smetimes watch the neighbr’s cats climbing the trees.
观看某人正在做某事，watch smebdy ding smething 观看某人做事的全过程应为watch smebdy d smething
