III. Grammar
定语从句是指在复合句中作定语的从句,定语从句所修饰的词叫先行词。
定语从句通常放在先行词的后面,由关系代词或关系副词引导。本课我们将学
习由关系代词that或which及wh引导的定语从句。
which, wh, that 引导的定语从句
which, that 和wh是定语从句中重要的引导词。下面的例句是由which, that和wh引导的定语从句。请同学们仔细观察,然后补全结论部分所缺内容。
【例句】
1. China is a cuntry which / that has a lng histry.
2. This is the bk which / that my mther bught me yesterday.
3. The man wh / that is standing by the dr is her brther.
4. I like the by wh / whm / that I met at the party.
【结论】
1. 观察例句1和2可以看出,which引导的定语从句修饰的是____(人/物)。由例句3 和4可知,wh引导的定语从句修饰的是_____(人/物)。
2. 由例句1和3可知,which和wh在定语从句中可以作_____语;观察例句2和4可以看出,which和wh在定语从句中还可以作____语。
3. 观察例句1和2可以看出,which在定语从句中作主语或宾语时均可由________代替;由例句3可知,wh在定语从句中作主语时,可由________代替;由例句4可知,wh在定语从句中作宾语时,可由________或________代替。
