教学过程
Step 1 warming up
1. Lead in: Play a piece f music “The cup f life” and then have a free talk with Ss: The sng sunds exciting, isn’t it ? D yu like ftball? Why?
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Shw students the tw pictures f Activity1. Lead the students t describe them and present new wrds in sentences and teach them as well.
eg: The blue team beat the red team because the red team was careless.
2. Have students guess: Lk at the title- Training hard .Why they train hard? Did Li Daming’s team win last year?
Step 3: While-reading
1. Scanning
Ask students t scan the passage and find ut the main idea f it.
2. Skimming
(1) Ask students t skim the passage and cmplete the table.
T: We knw Li Daming’s team trained hard this year. What did they d? Why?
Read the passage quickly again and cmplete the table in grups.
(2) Call back the answers.
3. Careful reading.
(1)Paragraph 1&2:
①Chse the best answers
T: Nw, we knw they train hard this year. Where and when d they train? Read Paragraph 1&2 in pairs and chse the best answers t the tw questins.
②Let the students read Paragraph 1&2 in grups f fur and find ut difficulties.
③Slve the difficulties.
T: Why they lst t the ther team last year? Let’s cntinue learning Paragraph 3.
(2) Paragraph 3:
① Present sme sentences t the students and ask them t write “T” r “F” als crrect the wrng sentences after reading Paragraph 3 .
② Ask a student t be “a little teacher” t check the answers.
③ Let ne team students read Paragraph 3 and the ther students listen carefully t pint ut imprtant pints.
④ Slve the difficulties.

(3) Paragraph 4:
① Let the students read Paragraph4 and answer the questin in pairs.
② Let the students ask and answer in pairs t check their answers.
③ Ask a grup f six students t read paragraph 4. Let the ther students listen carefully and find ut difficulties.
④ Slve difficulties.

Step 4: Pst- reading
1. Retell.

= 2 \* GB3 ② Call back the answers frm tw students then read the shrt passage in the whle class .
2. Speaking
Put the wrds in the bx int pairs with ppsite meanings.
Make sentences with the wrds.
eg: He gt up late yesterday, but he gt up later this mrning.
Step 5 Summary
1. Get the students sum up the language pints.
