2．了解如何描述过去的活动。

3．了解日记的正确写法。

2．运用所学知识介绍自己一周的活动。

掌握以下重点句子

①Today Danny introduced us to his new friend，Sandra.

②She also bought me a purple blouse.

③She invited me to go to the movies with her next Sunday.

④On Wednesday，my cousin Brian is arriving from the U.K.

Step 1　Lead－in

Lead in by discussing the following questions：

How did Jenny get to know Sandra？

What did Jenny and her mother do last Saturday？

What did Jenny do in her English class this morning？

Discuss the questions in groups.Divide the class into three or four groups to finish the task.After several minutes，let some students come to the front to show their answers.

Step 2　Listening

Listen to the tape and answer the following questions：

1.What did Jenny and her friends do after school？

2.What do Jenny and her mother like to buy？

3.Where do Mary’s parents work？

Finish the task in class in oral.

Step 3　Reading

Read the text and answer the following questions：

1.Who won the game at last？

2.What did Jenny’s mother buy for her？

3.What did Mary invite Jenny to do？

Finish the task in class in oral.

Step 4　Activities

Ask some students to speak in front of the class.

Step 5　Come to “Let’s Do It！”

Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 together.Read the passage again and answer the questions of Exercise 2.

Ask the students to finish off Exercise 3 by themselves.

Finish off Exercise 4 in “Let’s Do It！”.
