Step1: Lead-in and warm up
Ask the Ss to answer the questions.
1 Have you ever send a birthday card?
2 What do people usually write in birthday cards?
Step2: New Concept:
Ask students to listen the passage and answer the questions:
①What presents did Li Ming get on his birthday?
②How old is Li Ming?
2. ask students to read the new words, and do some exercises
3. Listen and answer :
What does Danny write in his card?
Where do they go to mail the box?
4. Read the passage and answer 5 questions.
Q1:What are Jenny and Danny making for Li Ming?
Q2: What is Brain doing here?
Q3: What do they write on the box ?
Q4: What do they forget when they want to mail the box?
5.Read it again and find out the key phrases and sentences.
6.Practice using the useful phrases and sentences,and do the exercise .
Step3: task reading
Read one passage and finish the exercises
Step 4: Practice
It’s the Ss turn to Discuss what other blessings do you know?.
Ask some pairs to show their discussion.
2.pair work:ask students to choose one of the cards to make(give ss three kinds of cards)
Better your birthday card and show it to your family members or your friends.
