              1. It (the title of the book) suggests that the present day is a new age for inventions.

              [句式分析] 本句中 “suggest ”意为表明引导的宾语从句 “that the present day is a new age for inventions. ”, 从句用陈述语气。区别于suggest建议时引导的从句用虚拟语气,从句谓语用should +verb”.

              [尝试翻译] (本书的标题)表明当今是发明创造的新时代。

              2. So what is it that inspires us to invent things?

              [句式分析]  本句为强调句,其基本结构为“It’s + 被强调部分+ that+ ...”(注意强调句中的连接词一般只用who(指人)或that(可指物,也可指人)。若被强调的是状语,也只能用that,而不能用when或者where。而且连接词不能省略.).本句中特殊疑问词what 代替了被强调部分,故形成“What is it that +...?”.

    Of all the inventions in the world, the computer is what I am the most interested in. The reason is that computers can do kinds of work. They are already widely used in industries, science and other fields. With the help of powerful computers, great breakthroughs have been made in different aspects. Besides, in our daily life, many people do relaxing things such as playing computer games, listening to music and so on.

    Nowadays, Technology is one of the most important factors to promote our society to develop from one era to another. Whether you are aware of it or not, every day at every time technology is greatly influencing the way we live and work. Computers, new technology in the 21th century, are the best examples. As the greatest inventions of human beings, they are being used more and more extensively in the world today. Especially when their functions are amplified with the help of internet, computers may even make everything convenient and possible.
