    T: What is a happy family like? In a happy family, parents and the child lve each ther. In ther wrds, the parent-child relatinship is gd and harmnius.
    T: What’s yur relatinship between yu and yur parents?
    T: What causes the tensin between yu and yur parents?
    T: Yu experience physical and mental changes as yu becme a teenager. These physical changes may result in such family tensins. What’s mre, it can be a headache t balance yur develping mental needs t. Yu enter a strange middle grund—n lnger a small child but nt quite an adult. In general, the physical changes and the develping mental needs will cause family tensins.
    T: What’s the cnsequence nce yu and yur parents’ relatinship becme tense?
    T: Yes. Heated arguments and cld silences are cmmn between teenagers and their parents.
    T: What’s yur suggestins n helping the teenagers slve their prblem?
    T: With the develpment f science and technlgy, webs designed fr the teenagers t imprve their well-being have sprung up. Nt nly can they seek practical advice fr themselves but als they can help thers in these webs. Besides visiting these webs, the teenagers can talk t their friends t get sme advice. Last but nt least, cmmunicatin with parents is f great imprtance t parent-child relatinship.

    T: After reading it, we find that in this website, the teenagers can lk thrugh many articles abut teenagers’ physical and mental health t find advice n their prblems. In additin, they can visit the “teen health” frum and pst their prblems.
    Revisin f sentence elements and sentence structures
    T: It is bvius that the designers f the website make the functin f the website clearly stated by using different types f sentences.
    T: We have learned sentence elements and sentence structures. Nw, lk at the sentences n the screen, and figure ut the sentence elements f the underlined wrds r phrases.

    ·Many students jin schl club. It is a verb.
    ·We shuld develp gd study habits. It is an bject.

    T: Having a gd cmmand f sentence elements is f great help fr us t analyze difficult sentences. After reviewing sentence elements, let’s g ver sentence structures. Hw many are they? What are they?
    T: There are eight types f sentence structures. S+V (主谓), S+V+P (主系表), S+V+O (主谓宾), S+V+O+O (主谓宾宾), S+V+O+C (主谓宾补), S+V+A (主谓状), S+V+O+A (主谓宾状), There be (存现句)。

    T: There are three types f sentences. He left his hmetwn. This is a simple sentence. He left his hmetwn and served in the army. This is a cmpund sentence. He left his hmetwn where he had lived fr tw decades. This is a cmplex sentence.

    Analyze the features f a cmpund sentence

    T: A cmpund sentence cntains tw r mre main clauses. We use linking wrds such as and, but t link the clauses. What’s mre, r, s, fr can be used t link the clauses. Here are mre examples.

    T: The linking wrds fr cmpund sentences are called crdinating cnjunctins. This table shws the mst frequently used crdinating cnjunctins and their functins.

    T: A cmplex sentence cntains ne main clause and at least ne subrdinate clause. A subrdinate clause can be the subject, predicative, bject, attributive r adverbial f the sentence.

    T: Just remember that it is cmpletely nrmal t struggle with the stress that parent-child tensins create, and that yu and yur parents can wrk tgether t imprve yur relatinship. The gd news is that this strmy perid will nt last. Everything will turn ut all right in the end, and the changes and challenges f yur teenage years will prepare yu fr adulthd. Remember these wrds when there is a prblem arising between yu and yur parents. Try t find a suitable way t mend the relatinship and yu will have a happy family.
