教学设计
教材中本课主要内容分为两个部分，即阅读和写作。
阅读部分主要是通过另一个角度讲述了自然灾害给人类带来的影响，即“暴风雨后的星空”。本篇文章告诉我们，面对突如其来、始料未及的自然灾害，应该保持乐观的心态和积极的态度。本课标题中的stars一语双关，既有灾难下的无助，又有以积极的心态面对灾难的希望。
在写作部分中，学生将先读到一篇关于自然灾害飓风的安全指导，然后引导学生写一篇关于洪水的安全指导方案。
语言技能目标
学生能够借助关键词，在理解文章大意的基础上，找出段落主题句，完成读前、读后问题；
用所学的词汇和语言的对课文进行复述；
能够读懂细节信息并能理解阅读中生词含义。
语言知识目标
能够正确运用以下单词和短语: billin, lap, nwhere, therwise, helicpter, msquit, midnight, the Big Dipper, the Little Dipper, the Milky Way, cunty, have yet t, threat, prperty, sufficient, shelter等。
能够理解文章中长难句并准确翻译。
文化意识目标
了解关于积极面对自然灾害的意义；
了解人们对发生自然灾害时的心理和态度。
情感态度目标
正确认识如何面对自然灾害，时刻提醒自己保持冷静、乐观的态度，以积极的心态面对突发事件。
理解文章逻辑关系及架构，理解文章写作意图；
引导学生如何对阅读材料进行总结归纳；
引导学生谈论阅读自然灾害故事的收获与感想。

[句式分析] 本句需要掌握thugh作为副词的用法。thugh可以作连词，也可以作副词。作连词时一般位于句首，引导让步状语从句，译为“虽然”，与althugh用于基本类似，不能与but连用。作副词时，一般位于句末，且前面有逗号，译为“但是”。
[尝试翻译] 但是，很难保持乐观。

[句式分析] 本句需要加深remember的用法，两个句型①remember ding sth，表示“记得做过得事”；②remember t d sth，表示“记得要做的事”。
