Step 1:Warming up
T:Have you ever missed a big event like a basketball game,a concert or a movie?Why did you miss it?
Ss:Yes,I have ever missed a basketball game.I missed it because I have to attend music class.
T:So some of you have ever missed something.Then when you have a dispute,how do you deal with it?
Ss:I will give the man who make me angry a good beat.
T:I don’t think it’s a proper way.You know,force can solve nothing.I think you should calm down and have a good talk.
Step 2:Presentation
1.Teach words:beat,repair,service,message,secretary,separate,gentleman,bounce,ouch,behave and phrases:be out of service不在服务区/text message短信/me neither我也不;彼此彼此
Practice the sentence pattern:①Is there anything wrong with him?
②My computer broke down the day before yesterday.③Your phone is out of service.④I sent you a text message.Explain the meaning of them and teach them to read.Then tell the usage of them.
设计意图:教师给学生创设对话中的情境,导入词汇、短语、句型的学习。在学习词组的过程中,通过师生对话操练,培养学生们的语言表达能力。
2.Have a competition game to practice the sentence pattern in pairs,encourage the students to make dialogues with the phrases and sentences patterns in this lesson.
教师把全班分为Group A和Group B进行争夺获胜组游戏,教师通过屏幕展示要求学生做结对练习操练句型。评出最后的获胜组!
设计意图:通过竞赛游戏的方式充分调动学生主动参与的意识,增添了学生语言学习的乐趣。调动学生的多种感官体验,突破本课教学重难点。
3.Read the lesson again and answer the questions.
(1)Did Steven come to the basketball game?
(2)How did Danny try to reach Steven?
(3)Why did Danny gets so angry with Steven?
设计意图:再次读课文,加深对课文的理解。
Step 3:Drill
Listen to the tape and do Exercise 3.
设计意图:锻炼学生们的听、写能力。
Step 4:Listening and repeating
Students listen to the tape and repeat after it sentence by sentence.Then after three times of listening,ask some students to read the text.
设计意图:让学生看课文跟读,试听同步进行,注意模仿正确的语音,语调。
Step 5:Explain the language notes of the text to the class
1.be out of service 不在服务区

4.连词so和but的用法。
