Step 1:Warming up
T:Have you ever felt lonely?Why?
Ss:Yes, I have.There is a time when I came to a new school,I know nobody in that school and nobody wants to talk to me ,so I feel very lonely.
T:I’m sorry to hear that,but how can you make new friends later?
Ss:I made a decision to join them,I put a smile on my face and said hello to everyone,soon they accepted me.
T:Wow!You are very clever ! I think you have used the best way to make new friends.
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Presentation
1.Teacher shows the words:dining,simply,somehow,adapt and then ask the students try to read them,if they are right,then praise him with a sticker.After that,explain the meanings and the usages of these words.Make sentences with the words and explain the meanings.
如:adapt 适应
we should learn to adapt to the new environment.我们应该学着适应新环境。
2.Give the students five minutes to remember the words. And then the teacher pick out one of them.Let students spell and read them one by one.
设计意图:教师以游戏的形式学习新单词并单个记忆,学生记得快。老师还可以找几名学生比赛记单词,调动他们的学习热情。
3.Explain the meaning of the whole text sentence by sentence,help the students remember the main phrases and the main sentences.
