    1. Elicit the adjective and adverb
    Tell the students that I have been t the Beijing Wildlife Park, t. But I didn’t enjy it because it rained. Shw the fllwing picture and elicit the adjective and adverb.
    ‘ It rained heavily. The rain was very heavy.’ In the same way, shw mre pictures and elicit mre pairs f adjectives and adverbs.
    e.g.
    She speak fluent French. She speaks French fluently.
    He is always very careful when he drives. He drives carefully.
    2. We frm adverbs f manner like this:
    1)Mst adjectives +ly
    quiet—quietly plite—plitely
    2)Adjectives ending in le –e +y
    gentle—gently
    3)adjectives ending in y --y +ily
    easy—easily happy—happily
