Able to talk about information about people or things in the general present tense.main difficultyUnderstand the various forms of the general present tense of the verb to be, and master the basic usage of affirmative sentences, negative sentences, interrogative sentences and their affirmative and negative answers.Teaching process(Teaching links, teacher activities, student activities)Second lesson preparationStep I   Present1. Tell the students to learn the simple present tense today, and write the simple present tense in English and Chinese on the slide at the same time: Today we’ll learn the simple present tense.2. Point to your hair, and show the slide show as you talk: Look! I have long/short hair. My hair is long/short.3. Show pictures, answer questions and show slides: What does Simon do after school? Simon plays football after school.4. Show pictures of cats and fish, explaining the general present tense: Now I'll show you some pictures. Look! This is a fish. They are cats. Cats eat fish. Show the underlined sentence on the slide, With reading.5. Tell the students that these three Liezi use the normal present tense. In order to draw students’ attention to the verbs, teachers are advised to write the verbs with a red pen当我们谈论现在真实的事情(写在第一个翻译边)、我们经常做的事情(写在第二个翻译边,经常解释)时,我们使用简单现在时。 事情总是真实的(写在第三个翻译边,教生词总是)请看这里。 注意动词。 有时我们需要改变动词的形式。 (边说边指着红色单词)Step II   Exercise1. The teacher can ask the students a few questions to elicit the students' affirmative and negative answers to to be interrogative sentences:    Excuse me. Are you …? Guide students to answer: Yes, I am. No, I’m not.    Is he/she…? Guide students to answer: Yes, he/she is. No, he/she isn’t.    Show the underlined part on the slide and remind students to pay attention to the correct way of writing the abbreviation I am not.                          (教学环节、教师活动、学生活动) 2. 巩固练习:Now let’s see how well you understand the verb ‘to be’. Tell students that when the subject is I, you, we, and they, the action verb does not change. Instruct students to study the table on page 13. The following three example sentences can be displayed on the slide:    We have breakfast at 7 am. (We have breakfast at 7 am.)    I talk to my parents at lunchtime. (I talk to my parents at lunchtime.)    They take the dog for a walk every day.    Ask the students to complete the exercise on page 14 Part B by themselves and read out their answers, check whether their pronunciation is accurate, and explain the phrases and phrases that appear in the exercise.2. Emphasize to students that verbs will change depending on the sentence. Tell students that the general present tense of action verbs has a third-person singular form. Show the following four sentences to let students find out the law of verb change:    We love dancing.    She loves singing.    They look after the dog every day.    He takes the dog for a walk every day.3. The teacher leads the students to study the third-person singular verb conjugation table. The teacher summarizes: When the subject is he/she/it, we need to add an ‘s’ to the verb. Let’s look at the table and find out the rule.4. Look at the slide, write the third-person singular form of the verb above, and summarize the rules.5. Distribute the exercise strips. Students should do the third-person singular verb change exercises in pairs to check whether the students master the rules of change: Now work in pairs. I'll give each pair a piece of paper.
