【教学过程】
1. Pair Wrk: Discuss different art frms.
(1) Instruct students t page thrugh a magazine n art.
(2) Brainstrm different frms f art n the bard, e.g., Beijing Opera, band perfrmance, painting and dancing. Ask students:
a. Define each f these frms f art. Give an example.
b. Have yu seen these frms f art? Share yur experience with the class.
(3) Discuss the vcabulary belw the phts n page 6.
(4) Have students shw and explain their example f art, fund in their magazine.
(5) In pairs, students discuss the fur phts using the vcabulary wrds and say whether they like them r nt. Students’ answers must be supprted by lgical reasns.
2. Cmplete the Text Builder.
(1) Explain t the students that they will be listening t a dialgue abut ging t a classical cncert.
(2) Befre playing the dialgue, play a classical shw frm TV r radi.
(3) Discuss the students’ pinins f classical music.
(4) Have students preview the text in the Text Builder. Explain the meanings f unknwn terms.
(5) Play the dialgue.
(6) Ask students t recall the infrmatin they heard in the dialgue t cmplete the sentence frames. If needed, play the dialgue a secnd time and pause after key statements in the talk.
(7) Review the answers with students.
3. Talk abut an art frm.
(1) Ask students t use the Text Builder t talk abut an art frm they like.
(2) Allw students time t prepare n their chsen frm f art using the Text Builder fr vcabulary. What frm f art inspires yu? Explain why. Define that art frm. When did yu first see that art frm? Share an experience.
(3) Students share their idea with a partner r the class.
4. Listen and answer questins.
(1) Have students preview the questins n page 7.
(2) Tell students that they shuld take ntes r answer the questins while listening.
(3) Play the dialgue.
(4) Have students discuss what they heard in small grups. If needed, play the dialgue again.
(5) Instruct students t answer the questins independently, in full sentences.
5. Write a shrt paragraph.
(1) Ask students t call ut wrds they learnt in this sectin, such as atmsphere, cstumes, stage design, pera, mdern art. Write the new wrds n the bard.
(2) Students discuss what they learnt abut these wrds.
(3) Ask students t write and share sme infrmatin abut their favurite art frm.
