Discuss the saying “Yu can never teach an ld dg new tricks.” with the students. It means that it is very difficult t teach smene new skills r t change smene’s habits r character. D yu think sme peple cannt learn a new skill r habit? Is it easier t learn smething new when yu are yunger r lder? Encurage all students t participate in the discussin.
2. Watch the vide and find ut.
1) Explain t students that they will be watching a vide and find ut the answers t the questins in activity 1.
2) Play the vide nce fr general understanding. Students nte dwn the answers as they watch.
3) In pairs, students review their answers. Play the vide a secnd time t cnfirm students’ answers.
4) Review the answers as a class.

1) Read the three sentences n page 64. Explain that ne ptin best summarises the vide.
2) Students can nte dwn their answer.

1) Read the ptins. Ask students t share what they remember abut the tw sensitive stages: experience expectant learning and experience dependent develpment.
2) Students can nte dwn their answers while watching the vide.
3) Pause the vide at key stages if the students are struggling and explain any difficult cncepts.
4) Review the answers as a class.

2) Students can use the vide script as reference. If pssible, students can research nline r prvide resurce material. Encurage students t add any further advice they wuld suggest.
3) Each grup discusses and ntes dwn advice that they wuld give.
4) Each grup presents their advice. The ther grup can ask questins and brainstrm further advice.
