    Tday Turner puts tgether his instrument by placing 60 different glasses n a wden sundbard. He hlds the glasses in place with rubber bands, which keeps them frm breaking. He then adds different amunts f water t each ne t create different musical ntes. Adding r taking away just a little water will change the sund. Adding water t a glass will make a lwer sund. The smaller bwls f water prduce a higher sund, while the larger nes prduce a lwer, deeper sund.
    Turner always uses lw­priced glass because it sunds better than cstly crystal(水晶) and he has mre cntrl ver the sund. Befre buying new glasses, he will test them in stres.
    The glass harp was ppular 300 years ag when cmpsers like Wlfgang Mzart wrte music fr the instrument. There have been abut 400 pieces f music written just fr the glass harp. But Turner plays all kinds f music, even ppular music frm China. Few peple play the glass harp these days, but Turner says he sees vides f peple experimenting with the instrument n the Internet. He hpes the next generatin will cntinue making their music.
