The Dragn Gate:
It is the mst phtgraphed site in San Francisc’s Chinatwn. The gate was designed by three Chinese-American architects in 1967 using traditinal Chinese village gates fr inspiratin.
The Tin Hw Temple:
It is the ldest Taist temple in Chinatwn, and ne f the ldest Chinese temples in the United States. The temple was built in 1852, but then destryed by the 1906 earthquake …

Prtsmuth Square:

Lijiang is an ancient city high up in the muntains f Yunnan, near the brders f Sichuan and Tibet. It was an imprtant stp n the Ancient Tea and Hrse Rad, which cnnected central China with Myanmar (缅甸) and India, transprting nt just tea but als silk and ther gds. Lijiang’s Old Twn, with a histry f ver 800 years, is a UNESCO Wrld Heritage Site.
Tday, Lijiang is mstly knwn fr its ethnic minrity culture, especially the culture f the Naxi ethnic grup. The Naxi are famus fr their Dngba culture. They have their wn unique written language that uses pictures and symbls.
They als create beautiful arts and crafts, and are well knwn fr their singing, and dancing. Strlling (漫步) arund the Old Twn, ne can witness Naxi life much as it was hundreds f years ag. One can als try traditinal Naxi fd, including the air-dried prk liver, Naxi baba (a kind f flat bread), and Naxi ht pt.
But if yu really want t see Naxi traditinal culture, it is best t visit during the Trch Festival, which usually ccurs in the summer. During the festival, the streets are full f trches (火把), bnfires (篝火), and lts f peple singing and dancing.
While the main ethnic grup living in the area is the Naxi, there are als at least 19 ther ethnic grups, including Yi, Lisu (傈僳族), Bai (白族), Tibetan (藏族), and Pumi (普米族). It is easy t arrange a shrt hmestay with an ethnic minrity family t learn mre abut their way f life.
Just utside the city, there are beautiful muntains, meadws (草地), lakes, rivers, and grges (峡谷), ffering plenty f pprtunities t g hiking, kayaking (皮划艇), r rafting. Like much f Yunnan, the weather is always fairly mild in Lijiang, s it is fine t visit thrughut the year.
Lijiang can be easily reached by airplane r train, and visitrs can hire bikes r cars t explre the area. It is the perfect place fr turists t experience the clrful culture f China’s ethic minrities.
