Many f yu have heard a Cinderella(灰姑娘) stry, but yu may nt knw that there are ver a hundred different ways t tell the Cinderella stry. When writers tell the same stry in a different way, it is called their “versin” f the stry. The stry f Cinderella has many different versins. Let’s read tw f them and find ut hw they are different.
The versin that mst peple knw is the ldest ne written in 1697 by Charles Perrault frm France. This is the versin where the birds help make Cinderella’s dress and the mice turn int carriage men(马车夫) and help Cinderella g t the dance in a pumpkin(南瓜) carriage. In this versin, many f the animals are Cinderella’s friends. They help her meet the prince. Cinderella marries the prince and they live happily tgether ever after.

Cinderella’s father gives her a little tree when he cmes back frm a party. She plants the little tree and her tears water it until it grws int a tall tree.
