    The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him.
    —Ralph Waldo Emerson

    “A friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out. ”
    Sometimes in life, you find a special friend;
    Someone who changes your life just by being part of it.
    Someone who makes you laugh until you can’t stop;
    Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world.
    Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it.
    This is Forever Friendship. when you’re down, and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirits and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full.
    Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times, and the confused times.

    阅读思维升华: 主题实践
    1. What’s your opinion about Amy’s refusing to respond to any of her friend’s online messages? (Critical Thinking批判性思维)
    I think it is unwise not to give her friend a chance to explain what happened. There must be some misunderstanding between them.
    2. Of Cindy and David’s advice, which do you prefer? Why? (Critical Thinking批判性思维)
    I prefer Cindy’s advice. In my opinion, it is more reasonable. Amy should find an opportunity to have a full and frank talk with her friend. Listening to her friend’s explanation contributes to solving Amy’s problem.
    3. What’s your advice for Amy? (Creative Thinking创造性思维)
    When a close friend appears to tell lies on purpose, no matter who will not feel good. If that friend doesn’t have any sense of guilt, and looks happy all day, just let it go. But if the friend apologizes and wants to make up for what he/she did, I think this friend is worth you to forgive. Perhaps this accident will bring you a deeper friendship.
