一、设计思想 |
本节课以建构主义学说、多元智能学说、教育心理学以及《英语课程标准》的一些核心理念为依据，设计思想主要体现在以下几方面：
多元智能理论认为，每个学生都有自己的优势智能领域，同样的教学内容，教师在教学时应该针对每个学生不同的智能特点、学习类型“对症下药”地进行。本节课为学生提供了不同梯度的操练情境和学习方式（ e.g. make up a new dialogue），使不同的层次的学生都能得到实践的机会。
关于教学环境、建构主义把教学视为一种环境，认为它应该提供接近真实活动的学习环境，提供协作学习条件。本节课主要采用“情境教学”，从听、说、读、写四个角度创设了不同的“节日情境”，让学生在情境中感知、理解，最终达到运用语言的目的；其次，通过一系列活动的设计，使学生自主地的实现“学中用，用中学”，培养了其合作学习与自主学习的能力。
本节课以“插花”作为形成性评价贯穿始终，通过松紧相间的3次小组竞赛，以“插花”来评价和激励学生；同时也体现了“多元智能学说”倡导的理念，使学生的审美情趣、艺术感受、协作精神等多种能力得到综合发展。

二、教学背景分析 | |
教学内容分析 | 本节课的教学内容源于译林牛津版《英语》七年级上册 Unit 5 Welcome to the unit 的内容，为Unit 5的共八个课时，本节课为本单元的第一个课时，为听说课主要围绕“节日”展开话题，涉及词汇、句型和对话的学习,鉴于教学和学情需要，本课从教学内容上对教材进行了改编和重组： 1. 提前讲授Reading和Integrated skills涉及的单词，以便更好理解和操练本课的句型和对话； 2. 根据学生的接受水平在本节课删去comic strip, 对activity B的对话进行改编，听力练习和阅读技巧并用帮助学生理解并运用； 3. 将Task中的“写作”活动精简提前到本课，目的是为了趁热打铁，使本节课所学知识通过“写作”得到及时的巩固。 |

- 材料准备：6个组，6个花瓶，12朵花每组。
- 过程概要：3次竞赛，以小组形式展开，参与竞赛并且表现优良者可为本组赢得一朵鲜花。
- 评价反馈：赢得鲜花最多的组为优胜组。
- 评价方式：师评与组间互评相结合。
