环节1 新课导入
Hello，everyone.We live on the earth.Out of the earth，it’s the universe，do you know it？Do you know planet？Do you know there is life on other planets？OK，let’s know about.
Let the students discuss the following questions：
Have you ever seen or used a telescope?
What would you like to use a telescope for?
What do you want to find using the telescope?
Can you find creature in the outer space?
设计意图：对于孩子来说，这些未知的东西，吸引着他们去探寻这些秘密，激发学生学习的热情。
环节2
- Teacher shows some pictures about the text to teach new words.
- Explain the usages of “unless”.
- Read the dialogue by themselves and do Exercise 1 in “Let’s Do It！”
- Book closed.Students listen to the tape and do Exercise 2.
- Read the dialogue and let the students act out the dialogue in groups of three. Then do Exercise 3 in
“Let’s Do It！”
6.Explain the meaning of the whole text sentence by sentence，help the students remember the main phrases and the main sentences.
7.Do Exercise 3 on Page 71. Then check the answers.
8. Have a discussion of Exercise 4.
设计意图：采用任务型阅读理解的方式，让学生快速阅读，理解对话意思，解决问题，教师最后核对答案。
- 要点点拨。
(1)turn around本身的意思表示“转身”，但是它有一个引申的意思，就是“把不好的情况转变成好的情况”。
(2)It’s worth a try.它值得一试。
be worth＋n.当名词为金钱时，表示“值……钱”
be worth doing sth.“值得做某事”
(3)unless的用法：unless是从属连词，引导条件状语从句，含有否定意义，相当于if条件状语从句的否定形式。所以unless＝if not。注意：unless引导的条件状语从句和if条件状语从句，与其它时间状语从句一样，用一般现在时代替将来时。
(4)even if的用法：even if即使，尽管。引导让步状语从句(＝even though)。
