教学目标 通过本课时的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: 掌握单词和短语:pleasant, drama, photography, art form, pop, musical, talent。 2.能力目标: (1)通过听说训练,学会描述各种不同的艺术形式; (2)讨论各自喜欢的艺术形式并说明原因; (3)激起学生对本单元的兴趣,培养学生的听说能力。 3.情感目标: 通过学习,让学生了解不同的艺术形式,走进艺术的世界,用艺术陶冶情操。 重点难点 重点:学会描述各种不同的艺术形式的单词和短语,并能灵活使用。 难点:灵活使用生词和短语。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1Lead-in Ask the students to talk about art. Do you like art? What do you think of it?How many art forms do you know? Step 2 Presentation 1. Show the studentssome pictures and present some new words. Talk about different kinds of art forms. painting: Chinese painting, oil painting; drama: Beijing opera, stage play, musical, drama dance; music: pop music, classical music, folk music, country music; film: action film, comedy, science fiction, war film; dance: ballet, modern dance, folk dance。 2. Write down the names of different art forms in A. Answers: 1 drama 2 photography 3 painting 4 film 5 music 6 dance Step 3 Practice 1. Ask the students to talk about their favourite art form(s). What art form do you like? Why do you like it? 2. Talk about Daniel’s favourite art form. Listen and fill in the form. Answers: music; pop music; Michael Jackson ; He was the King of Pop. His musical talent was amazing. 3. Read and practise the dialogue in pairs. A: What art form do you like? B: I like ... A: Really? What kind of music/film/dance... do you like best? B: I prefer ... A: Who’s your favourite singer/actor/actress/dancer/ artist? B: I like ... best. A: Why do you like ...? B: Because ... Step 4 Comic Strip 1. Ask students to listen to the dialogue about Hobo and Eddie. Answer the following questions. (1)What does Eddie think of art? (2)Why did Eddie stop painting? (3)Do you think Eddie really likes painting? (4)What do you think Eddie loves exactly? Answers:(1)He thinks art is something pleasant.(2)Because he found something more pleasant than art.(3)No.(4)Exactly he loves eating. 2. Practise the dialogue in pairs. 3. Fill in the blanks: Hobo asked Eddie what he (1)_______ doing. Eddie said he was (2) _______ and he (3)_____ art. He thought art was something (4)_____. But he suddenly (5)______ when he saw a (6)_______ in Hobo’s hand. Hobo asked Eddie why he stopped. Eddie said he had (7) ______ something more pleasant than art. Because I’ve found something more pleasant than art. 因为我已经发现了比 艺术更令人愉快的事情。 (1)something more pleasant意为“令人更愉快的东西”。 句中more pleasant作something的后置定语,形容词修饰不定代词时要后置。 Is there anything interesting in today’s newspaper? 今天的报纸上有有趣的消息吗? My mother often cooks us something delicious. 我妈妈经常给我们做好吃的东西。 (2)pleasant 形容词,意为“令人愉快的”,常用于修饰事物。 I think you will have a pleasant trip. 我想你会有一个愉快的旅行。 【拓展】①pleased形容词,意为“满意的”。 My mother is pleased with my study. 妈妈对我的学习很满意。 ②pleasure 名词,意为“愉快的事,高兴,乐意,”。 It is a pleasure to work with you. 跟你共事是一件开心的事。 —Will you please help me carry the desk?帮我搬桌子好吗? — With pleasure!很乐意! 2. I prefer pop music.我更喜欢流行音乐。 prefer(preferred, preferred, preferring)动词,意为“更喜欢”,主要短语 如下: (1)prefer to do sth. 更喜欢做某事 I prefer to stay at home on rainy days.下雨天我更喜欢待在家里。 (2)prefer(doing)A to (doing) B比起(做)B更喜欢(做)A I prefer classical music to pop music. 比起流行音乐,我更喜欢古典音乐。 He prefers singing to dancing. 比起跳舞,他更喜欢唱歌。 (3)prefer to do sth.rather than do sth.宁愿做某事也不愿做某事 He prefers to sing rather than dance. 他宁愿唱歌也不愿跳舞。 Step 6 Homework 1.
