metre ['mi:tə] n. 米

tail [teil] n. 尾部；尾巴
This is a beautiful bird with a lng tail.
against [ə'ɡenst] prep. 倚着，靠着；反对，违反
The girl is sitting against the tree.
bit [bit] n. 小量；少量
a bit + adj./adv.a bit f + 不可数名词
She seems a bit strange. 她看起来有点儿奇怪。 Give me a bit f water.给我一些水。
upn [ə'pɔn, ə'pən] prep. 在……上面
grund [ɡraund] n. 地面
He set the plate upn the table.
