Step 1 Lead-in
Start this lessn with a quiz t see if the students are familiar with transprt vcabulary. Ask the students t keep their bks clsed. Read the fllwing sentences and ask students t guess which mdel f transprt I am describing.
Step 2 Presentatin
① Vcabulary
It has traveled acrss Victria Harbur, between Hng Kng Island and Kwln since 1898. (Star Ferry)
It is an easy way t get t the tp f the peak. (peak tram).
There are many f them. Each has wheels and takes yu t many places in and arund Hng Kng. It has prvided transprt service fr peple living in the nrth-west New Territries since 1988. (light rail)

With the definite facts, talk abut the differences between the simple past tense and the present perfect tense.

Ask the students t tell the differences. Then ask ther students t make mre sentences using present perfect tense.
Step 3 Practice
1. Ask the students t lk at the pictures r the cmic strips and answer what des nt Hb lk happy? Ask the students t listen t the dialgue between Hb and Eddie, then tell what happened between them. Ask the students t find ut the sentences in the present perfect tense. Find ut if they have mastered it well. Let the students t practice the dialgue and then try t act it ut.
2. Read the cntest f Part A and expand n it t create interest. Link it t persnal experiences and talk abut the cnveniences and efficiency f different mdes f travel.
3. Ask the students t write in the names f the frms f transprt under the pictures.
4. Ask the students t lk at the timetable in Part B. Tell them t write in the names f the frms f transprt n the crrect pints n the time-line.
