能正确、流利地进行情境对话。
3、情感态度目标
激发学生的学习热情,了解中西方的饮食文化异同,并进行文明礼仪教育。
教学重点:
学会用句型What do you want to eat ? I want... 点餐,并询问价钱。
教学难点:
What do you want to eat? I want a hot dog, please.
How much is it? It’s thirteen dollars and twenty –five cents.
教学准备:
CO-ROM, 点读笔,图片
教学过程:
Step1: Warming up
1、课前播放学生以前学过的英文儿歌渲染课堂学习的活跃气氛。
2、Say “Hello” to the children and talk about some interesting experience during the winter vacation.
Step 2: Leading in
T: Now I feel hungry and thirsty. I want something to eat and drink. Can you give me some suggestions? (出示许多事物的图片,让学生说出他们知道的食物和饮料,并板书在黑板上)
Step 3: Presentation
1. Learn the sentences according to the words in the blackboard: What do you want? I want a hot dog.
T: There is so much delicious food. I want some hamburgers. I want a hot dog. What do you want?
S: I want...
Then do this activity in pairs.
A: What do you want?
B: I want...
2. Learn the sentences: How much is it? It’s thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents。可以顺便点一下how many是对可数名词复数提问如:How many apples are there in the desk?
S: There are two apples in the desk.
T: What do you want?
S: I want...
T: How much is it? It’s thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents。(学生可能会用元、角做货币单位,美元该怎么说呢,然后学习单词dollar ,cent )
Explain “dollar and cent”. “1 dollar is 100 cents.” 重点讲解单词dollar, cent。Then do this activity in pairs.
3. Listen,point and find ‘ I want...’ 幻灯片播放教材图片及对话录音或看课本听录音。进行课文的整体呈现。讲解单词enjoy
4. Listen and answer 播放第二遍录音,学生带着问题听录音并寻找答案。
a. Where are Daming, Simon and Simon’s dad?
b. Is a hot dog really a dog?
c. What does Simon want to eat?
d. What does Simon’s dad want to eat?
e. How much is the meal?
f. What does the waitress say?
录音播放完毕后,允许学生相互讨论问题的答案,然后再请个别学生进行口头表述,教师进行订正。
5、Listen and repeat. 播放第三次录音。每个句子后停顿后,要求学生进行指读和跟读。
Step 4: Practice
课件呈现Listen and say 部分的对话,
学生看图跟读。小组内练习,分组表演。
A: What do you want?
B: I want a hot dog, please.
A: How much is it?
B: It’s thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents.
Step 5: Development
Make a fast food restaurant 把讲台布置成快餐店的柜台,并请程度较好的学生来扮演顾客,教师扮演服务员,进行一个简单的表演。最后鼓励学生进行以小组为单位的情景短剧的表演。
Step6: Homework
1. Recite the new words and the key sentences correctly and skillfully.
2. Group works: Suppose you are in the restaurant and going to have a meal. Then make a dialogue.
3. Copy the new words four times.
