    一、知识点详解
    Sectin A
    1. Bth Sam and Tm can play the drums, but Sam plays them better than Tm.
    (1)bth用作形容词,置于被修饰的名词前。
    Lk at the trees n bth sides f the streets.
    (2)bth用作代词,可单独使用,也可用于bth f...结构。作主语时,谓语动词要用复数形式。
    例:Bth f my parents are Chinese.
    (3)通常用来连接两个并列的句子成分,若连接两个并列成分作主语,谓语动词用复数形式。
    例:Bth Ann and her brther like listening t sft music.
    2. That’s Tara, isn’t it?
    反义疑问句:陈述句后添加一个附着的简略疑问结构,用以进行确认。
    (1)若陈述部分为肯定,便用否定形式进行提问;
    (2)若陈述部分为否定,便用肯定形式进行提问。
    例:There’s smene in the rm, isn’t there?房间里有人,是吧?
    例:He didn’t say anything at the meeting, did he?他在会上什么也没说,对吗?
    例:We can’t say it this way, can we?我们不能这样说,对不对?
    3. Tara wrks as hard as Tina.
    与……一样……
    用来进行同级比较,中间要用形容词或副词的原级。
    例:This mvie is as mving as that ne.
    【拓展延伸】的否定结构是nt ,意为“不如……那样……”
    例:My sister is nt as/s utging as me.
    4. Yu can tell that Lisa really wanted t win, thugh.
    (1)tell v. 知道;看出
    tell在此处作动词,表现一种判断的能力,类似于汉语“看得出来;知道;了解”的意思。作此用法时,tell不用于进行时态。
    例:Hw can yu tell he tld a lie?
    (2)win v. 获胜;赢;赢得
    win在本句中作不及物动词,意为“获胜;赢”。
    例:Wh desn't want t win?
    win也可作及物动词,意为“赢得”。其宾语通常为表示比赛项目、奖品或战争等的词。
    例:Our team wn the ftball match.
    (3)thugh adv. 不过;可是;然而 cnj. 虽然;尽管;不过
    thugh在此处作副词,意为“不过;可是;然而”。常位于句末,表示补充说明。
    thugh还可作连词,意为“虽然;尽管;不过”,引导让步状语从句,相当于althugh,但比althugh更口语化。thugh引导的让步状语从句不能和but同时使用。
    例:He said he wuld cme, he didn’t, thugh.
    例:Thugh/Althugh the sun was shining, it wasn’t very warm.

    is talented in music .
    (1)talented adj. 有才能的;有才干的
    talented作形容词,由“talent(n.天赋)+-ed(后缀)”构成,其比较级为mre talented。
    (2)be talented in“在某方面有天赋”。
    例:My sister is talented in playing the pian.
    2. cares abut me.
    care abut 关心;在意
    1) care abut为动词短语。care在此处作动词,意为“在意,担忧;关心”。
    例:He seems t nly care abut mney.
    2) care fr为动词短语,意为“照顾;照料”,相当于take care f。此外,care fr还可意为“非常喜欢”。
    例:Lily cares very much fr the new pian.
    3. me laugh .
    (1)laugh v. 笑;发笑 n. 笑声
    1) laugh在此作动词,laugh at sb. “嘲笑某人“。
    例:Dn't laugh at peple in truble.
    2) laugh还可作可数名词,意为“笑声”。
    例:He gave a shrt laugh.
    (2)make sb. d sth. 让某人做某事
    例:Mther made me clean my rm yesterday mrning.
    4. My mther tld me a gd friend is like a mirrr.
    be like 像……一样
    like在此处是介词,意为“像”。这种用法类似汉语中的比喻。
    例:I think friends are like bks.
    5. That’s why I like reading bks and I study harder in class.
    That’s why + 句子 “这便是为什么……”、“这就是……的原因”(固定的句式)
    例:That’s why he was late this mrning.这就是他今天早上迟到的原因。
    6. But I think friends are like bks—yu dn't need a lt f them as lng as they're gd.
    as lng as 只要;既然
    1) as lng as 在此处意为“只要”,引导条件状语从句。当主句为一般将来时或主句谓语含有情态动词时,as lng as引导的条件状语从句用一般现在时表示将来。
    例:As lng as yu drive carefully, yu will be very safe.
    2) as lng as 还可意为“既然”。
    例:As lng as yu are ging, I’ll g.
    7. It’s nt necessary t be the same.
    necessary作形容词,只能用来修饰事物,不能修饰人,常用于It is necessary (fr sb.) t d sth.“(对某人来说)做某事是必要的”句式。
    例:It's necessary fr us t keep healthy.
    8. Hwever, Larry ften helps t bring ut the best in me.
    bring ut 使显现;使表现出
    1) bring ut 为及物动词短语。
    bring ut the best/wrst in sb.“把某人最好、最坏的一面表现或暴露出来”。
    例:Difficulties can bring ut a persn's best qualities.
    2) bring ut 还可表示“把……拿出来;出版(书籍)”。
    例:My teacher asked me t bring ut my hmewrk.

    (1)if 引导的宾语从句
    1) if 在此处作连词,意为“是否”,引导宾语从句,作动词care的宾语。
    例:I dn't knw if/whether he is at hme.
    2) if 还可意为“如果”,引导条件状语从句。
    例:I will wait fr yu if yu want t g with me tmrrw.
    (2)the same as 和……相同;与……一致
    the same as为固定短语,与be different frm意思相反。same常与定冠词the连用。
    例:It's nt necessary t find a friend wh is the same as yu.

    hand 引申为“帮助;援助”
    heart 则为“情感;感受”
    例:Can yu give me a hand?你能帮我一把吗?
    例:The mvie tuched the hearts f all the peple at the cinema. 这部电影令所有在场的观众动容。

    be there :
    1)“在别人需要帮助时,立刻准备伸手相助”
    2)“随叫随到;不离……左右”
    3) be there + fr smebdy
    例:My parents were always there fr me when I was grwing up.在我成长的过程中,我的父母总是随时给予我帮助。
    12.My best friend is similar t Larry because she's less hard­wrking than me.我最好的朋友像拉里,因为她不如我勤勉。
    (1)本句是含有原因状语从句的复合句。
    (2)similar adj. 相似的;类似的,可作定语和表语。
    例:My best friend and I have similar hbbies.我和我最好的朋友有相似的爱好。
    (3)be similar t 与……相像的;类似的
    例:My new hairstyle is similar t yurs.我的新发型和你的相似。
