Sectin A
1. Culd yu please please tell me where the restrms are?
Culd yu please 后接动词原形,意为“请你……好吗?”是表示委婉且礼貌的请求,其否定形式是Culd yu please nt 后接动词原形,意为“请你不要……好吗?”。
例:Culd yu please help me clean the rm? 请你帮我打扫房间好吗?
例:Culd yu please nt smke here?请你不要在这抽烟好吗?
肯定回答:Sure./ Certainly./Of curse./N prblem./Yes, please.等。
否定回答:Srry,I can’t. I have t…/ I’d lve t, but I have t...否定回答要礼貌地说明理由。
注意:
Culd yu…?句型的回答中,回答中不用culd,用can。这里culd不表示过去时态,只表示语气委婉。

1)Wuld yu please d sth? 请你做某事好吗?
2)Wuld yu like t d sth? 你愿意做某事吗?

until和till同义为“直到……” , till多用于口语, until可以放在句首, till则不能放在句首。 nt ... until 意为“直到……才”, 表示直到某一时间, 某一行为才发生, 之前该行为并没有发生。
例:I waited fr Li Lei until 10 `clck.我等李磊一直等到十点。
例:I didn’t finish my hmewrk until father came hme.直到爸爸到家,我才完成作业。

excited和exciting的区别:
excited意为“激动的; 兴奋的”, 作表语时, 主语通常是人; 作定语时, 常用来修饰人, 说明激动的表情
exciting意为“激动人心的”, 作表语时, 主语通常是物; 作定语时, 常用来修饰物。
例:All f us were surprised when we heard the gd news.
例:The mvie is very surprising.
4.Pardn? Restrm? Yu want t rest? But we haven`t even started yet!
pardn 用作动词, 后面既可以跟宾语, 也可以跟双宾语。pardn sb. fr(nt) ding sth.意为“原谅/宽恕某人做某事”。 在没有听懂对方的话, 请对方重复一下时也可说 pardn。
例:Pardn? I`m srry I can’t fllw yu. 对不起我没听明白,你再说一遍好吗?
例:Can yu pardn me fr nt passing the exam, Mm?妈妈,我考试没及格,你能原谅吗?
5.I mean … yu knw, a washrm r bathrm.
mean 用作动词有以下含义:
1) “意思是……,”(多作及物动词), 其后可跟名词或代词, 也可跟从句。
2) “意味(着)”(及物动词), 常跟名词, 有时可跟动词-ing形式或从句。mean ding sth 意味着做…
3) “意图, 打算, 想”, 常跟名动词不定式。
4)mean t d sth 意图做、打算做、想做
例:Carl really culd nt d that — it wuld mean the end f his career.

nrmal adj.通常的;正常的;nrmally adv. 正常地; 通常地;
例:The patient began t breathe nrmally.
例:Yu shuldn`t think abut the prblem in a nrmal way.
7. Yu dn’t need t rush!
need作实义动词,意为“需要”。常用搭配为need sth.或 need t d sth. , 例如:
例:I need sme help. 我需要一些帮助。
例:Yu need t see a dctr. 你需要去看医生。
例:He needs t take a bus. 他需要去搭车。
need作情态动词,意为“需要”,后接动词原形。
例:If she wants anything, she nly need ask.她想要什么东西, 只要开口就行了。
例:Yu needn’t finish this wrk tday.你不必今天完成这项工作。
rush v. 仓促; 急促 rush t sp冲到… n. 仓促; 急促 in a rush匆忙地 make a rush at/fr 朝……冲去
例:They rushed t the street t see the accident.
例:He went t the library in a rush.他匆忙赶到图书馆去。
8. I wnder where we shuld g next.
wnder作及物动词,意为“想知道;对……感到怀疑”,常见的用法有:
(1)后接wh, what,why,where 等引导的宾语从句。
例:I wnder wh she is. 我想知道她是谁。
例:She wndered what the child was ding.她感到疑惑,孩子究竟在干什么。
例:I wnder why Ann is late. 我想知道安为什么迟到了。
例:I wnder where they have gne. 我想知道他们去哪儿了。
(2)后接 that 引导的宾语从句,表示“对……感到惊讶”, that常可省去。
例:I wnder (that) she has wn the race. 我对她赢了比赛感到惊讶。
(3)后接 if 或 whether 引导的宾语从句,常用来表示一种委婉的请求或疑问。
例:She wndered whether yu were free that mrning.她想知道你那天上午是否有空。
例:I wnder if he will succeed.我不知道他会不会成功。
9.I was scared at first, but shuting did help.
此句相当于 I was scared at first, but shuting helped. 原句是一种表现强调的句式。英语中, 可用助动词d对谓语动词进行强调, 构成强调句。
例:Please d be careful. 请一定小心。

try的用法:
1)做名词:have a try 试一试

2). 做动词:(1) try t d sth. 努力做某事

(2)try ding sth. 表示尝试着做某事

(3)try ne’s best t d sth 尽某人最大的努力
例:I will try my best t slve the prblem . 我会尽力解决这个问题的。

suggest作动词, 意为“显示; 表明”, 后可接宾语从句。
例:His behavir suggests that he was a kind man. 他的行为显示他是个好人。
suggest作“建议”讲时, 应注意以下两点:
构成短语:suggest ding sth. 建议做某事
例:I suggest ging hme. 我建议回家。
2) suggest后接从句时, 从句常用虚拟语气, 其句型为:suggest (that) sb (shuld) d...
例:I suggest that we shuld g hme. 我建议我们回家。
3). suggestin是suggest的名词形式, 作“建议”讲时, 是可数名词。
例:D yu have any suggestins? 你有什么建议吗?
12.The restaurant is always busy at that time, s cme a little earlier t get a table.
“就餐”语境中, 形容词busy相当于“吃饭人多; 餐厅拥挤”的意思; t get a table类似于汉语“定餐桌; 占位子”等意思。

I’m nt sure. 意为“我不确定”。sure用作形容词,意为“肯定的,有把握的”,常与be动词连用。
(1)be sure t d sth.意为“务必做某事”,表示要求,多用于祈使句;有时还可表示一种推断“肯定做某事”。例如:
例:Be sure t telephne me and give me all the news.请一定要给我打电话,让我知道所有的消息。
例:The child is sure t be a teacher. 这孩子一定会成为一名教师。
(2)be sure f / abut (ding) sth. 表示人对某事(物)的看法,意为“对……有把握”。其后常接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。例如:
例:Are yu sure f passing the exam? 你有把握通过考试吗?
例:I'm nt sure abut English grammar. 我对英语语法没有把握。
(3)sure用作副词,意为“当然,的确”。常用来回答一般疑问句,相当于yes或certainly。例如:
例:—Are yu ging with us? 你和我们一起去吗?
—Sure. 当然啦。

spend是动词,意为“花费(时间或金钱)”。其过去式为spent。用法如下:
spend + 时间/金钱 + (in) ding sth. 花费时间或金钱做某事
spend + 时间/金钱 + n sth. 花费时间或金钱在某物上
例:I spend tw hurs in reading every day. 我每天花两个小时阅读。
例:He spends 20 yuan n bks every mnth. 他每月花20元买书。

less + 形容词或副词, 构成降级比较形式, 相当于中文“不那么; 稍不……”之意。
例:His secnd mvie is less interesting.他的第二部电影就没那么有趣。

because ...在此从当表语从句。类似的句型还有:This/That/It +is/ was + hw/where/when/why... 。
例:This is why I was late.这就是我迟到的原因。

if 在此引导由一般疑问句构成的宾语从句=whether,此时该问句要转换为陈述句语序。
例:Have they gne ut? → I wnder if they have gne ut.
5. It might seem mre difficult t speak plitely than be direct. 看起来礼貌地说要比直截了当地说更难。
这句话中it是形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式。这句话中所包含的句型可概括为:
主语+seem+(t be)+表语。如:
例:Mr. Black seemed (t be) quite happy.布莱克先生好像十分快乐。
知识拓展---相关句型
1. 主语+seem+不定式。如:
例:The yung man seemed t have changed much.这个年轻人看起来变化很大。
2. It seems+that 从句。如:
例:It seems that Mr. Brwn will nt cme again.看起来布朗先生不会再来了。
3. There seem (t be) +名词,seem的单复数形式要根据后面作主语的名词的单复数形式而定。如:
