Step 1   Revision

Help students to revise the subject form of personal pronouns with some sentences.

   1 ---What’s the time, please?

   2 There are Millie and Amy._____ are playing tennis.

Step 2   Learning

Work through the sample sentences on page 36 and show how each pronoun is related to the subject in the first sentence. Write some more sample sentence on the blackboard.

1 I want to go shopping, would you like to go with me?

2 The boy is sleeping. Please don’t wake him.

3 We have a dog. It always plays with us.

Step 3   Explanation

Explain the difference between the subject form and object form by referring to the table on page 30.

Step 4 Discuss

Ask students to think over when we can use the object form. Give them several sentences as a hint. Work out the rule:

   We use the object form after a verb or a preposition
