    设计题目Unit 1 Welcome to the unit 教学内容The topic of this unit is “Dream Home”. In this period, we will learn something more about different countries and capitals. Students will learn more places of great interest in different countries, and can talk about these places of interest with partners. Meanwhile, some vocabulary will also be introduced. Also, we will lead students t to talk about their ideal dream homes and lead them to think about different living environment.教学对象The seventh grade students have learned something about different countries, but they may not know the capitals and places of great interest in different countries. In this period, they will be taught how to express countries and capitals in English and some symbolic buildings in different countries.教学目标Talk about their dream home. Students are led to think about different living places. Identify different symbolic buildings in different countries.Acknowledge different expressions of countries and their capitals.教学策略1. Use pictures to help them Identify different symbolic buildings in different countries.2. Consolidate different countries and capitals by matching the countries with capitals.3. Homework 3min10 min10min 6min 6min10min Show the picture of Tian’an men Square and ask “Where is it?” “Have you ever been to Beijng?” etc. And says Beijing is the capital of China, and I have a dream, that is I want to visit Beijing this summer. Teach“capital, dream”1. Show students some pictures of the landmark buildings and the places of interest in different countries.T: Here are some beautiful pictures. They are some of the most famous places in the world. Where are they? Do you know? Look at this mountain. What is its name?S: It’s Mount Fuji.T: which country is it in?S: Japan.Write the word “Japan” on the blackboard and lead students to read it. Make sure students can read it correctly.2. Use the same way to present the other landmark buildings and capitals. During the presentation students are allowed to express the names of these pictures in Chinese.3. Guide students to finish the exercise in Part A on page7.T: Do you know the capitals of the countries in Part A? Show them some maps of the capital cities of different countries. T: What city is the capital of the USA?Guide students to the following answer: the capital of the USA is Washington DC. Deal with the other information by using the same question-answer way.Guide students to finish the exercise in PPT.The teacher asks: If you have enough money and time, which country would you like to visit? Why? Do you want to live in this country?Show them some more different symbolic buildings in different countries.3. Lead them to make a dialogue like this: A: Which country would you like to visit ?B: I’d like to visit China.A: Do you know the capital of it?B: Of course I know, it’s Beijing. And I want to visit the Great Wall. Practice the dialogue in Part B on Page 7 and then make a similar dialogue with the partner.1. T: Eddie also has his own dream home, which one would Eddie like to live? Let’s listen to their conversation and answer some questions. Where would Eddie like to live?Which is Eddie’s favourite restaurant?2. Read the comic after the recorder for several times.3. Ask students to act it out in class.1. Copy the new words twice.2. Complete the exercises in your workbook.Listen and answer the questions.Students watch the pictures carefully and try to learn to express the names of different countries and landmark buildings in English.finish the exercise in Part A on Page 7. Follow the teacher to say out the capitals of different countries in English and try to remember them.Have a discussion with their partner and then give their own opinions Take an active part in the class activity and practice speaking English. Listen and answer the questions and then try to act the dialogue out in pairs.Finish the home in timeUse the familiar place to arouse the interest of learning Use pictures to help the students remember the mark buildings in different countries more quickly and use the exercise to Consolidate the names of countries correctly.Use the maps to help them remember the capitals more easily. And then use the match exercise to consolidate the capitals.Give them some more different symbolic buildings in different countries in order to let them learn more about different countries.And lead them to think about different living places by talking about their dream homes. Encourage students to take the chance to practice spoken English.As a seventh grade student, we should give them enough time to practice reading English and give them more chances to act out the dialogue.Consolidate the knowledge they have learnt.
