Then ask the students: Isn’t it strange ? Are you afraid? Someone might think that it’s a ghost. In fact, there is no ghosts in the world. 2. Teacher tells the students: There’re many ghost stories in Chinese history. You must have read , right? Do you want to read a modern ghost story today?3. Teacher says: Today we’ll read a ghost story . Please turn to the page 58 and pay attention to the picture , Can you tell me where the story happened and who saw the “ghost” at last ?Step 2 Presentation 1. Teacher plays the tape for the students for the first time.2. T: Now let’s listen to the story to find more about the “ghost”. Get Ss to underline the new words , phrases and sentences that they don’t understand when listening.Teacher presents : After listening to the story, can you answer my question:What was the ghost in the park? Help the students answer: The ghost was ______________________.Finish Part B1 in class and check the answers. Teacher asks the whole class to read the article together,then answer some more questions:(a) Where did the whisper come from? It came from ________________________(b) Who found the ‘ghost”? ___________ found the “ghost”. Do the T/F questions. Ss read the text by themselves, then finish Part B3.
