Step1 Deal with "speak up"
1 Sme imprtant pints:

给我一些建议(advice 建议,不可数名词)=give sme advice t me
advise 建议(动词) e.g. advise sb t d sth 建议某人做某事
suggestin建议(可数名词) e.g. give me sme suggestins
suggest建议(动词) e.g. suggest sb ding sth 建议某人做某事
2) I dn’t knw what t wear. 我不知道该穿什么.(简单句)
= I dn’t knw what I shuld wear. (宾语从句)
Wh-疑问词后接t d不定式在句中做宾语
注意: why t t d (错误)
3) 表建议的句型(部分)
Why dn’t yu d sth ?= Why nt d sth ? =Perhaps yu shuld d sth
=What abut…? = Hw abut ….?
4).What d yu think ? 你认为怎么样? 你认为呢? (问观点或者看法)
更常用完整形式: What d yu think f/abut…? 你觉得…怎么样?

(preferred, preferred ; preferring 注意要双写)

3.Write sme vcabulary n the blackbard fr students t use. “bluse, cat, trusers, lse, tight, cmfrtable”. Remind students that each clr represents smething different . Ask them t refer t the passage t check what different clrs represent.

Part ne
1). Shw sme letters n the bard. Ask them t read and tell them that there are tw ways t prnunce the “th”.
2) Read thrugh the three steps t prnunce the vice //sund. Ask the whle class t prnunce the viceless sund tgether. Remind them t put their hands n their thrats t make sure they d nt feel any vibratin.
3) Play the recrding fr Part A thrugh nce and ask students t listen t the prnunciatin f the “th” in each wrd.
4) Play the recrding again, and lead them t read again and again.The best way t learn prnunciatin is t read again and again.

辅音字符 th 有 清与浊 两种读音:
1 当位于词首时,可以从词性上判别其应有的读音。请看:
第一类:在以下 4种 词类 th 读 清音,即国际音标的/θ/ :
a. Nun 名词:thing, theatre, thumb大拇指, thunder雷,
therms热水瓶, Thursday, thery, theme, thrat喉咙, thread线
b. Verb 动词:think, thank, thrw, thrive, thicken,
c.Numeral 数词:three, thirteen, thirty, third, thusand
d.Adjective 形容词:thin, thick, thirsty, thughtful,
thrugh彻底的
第二类:在以下 两种 词类 th 读 浊音:即国际音标的 / ð/ :
a. Prnun 代词:they, them, their, theirs, this, these,
that, thse, there, thy[旧时用法]你的
b. Functinal terms 功能词:the, than, then, thugh, thus,
therefre
2 当位于词尾(或音节之尾)时,其读音多数是清音,如:bath, breath, bth, clth, tth, health, wealth, arithmetic 等。只有在少数单词中,如:with, smth 中读浊音。
3 当位于两个元音之间时,其读音多数是浊音。如:ther, mther, brther, anther, father, weather, feather, leather, further, breathe.
但是,也有读清音的。如在单词 methd, nthing, anything, sympathy, sympathetic, mathematics, healthy, wealthy, Luther, Marathn(马拉松)等。
