【Teaching procedure】
Step 1 warm-up
1.Daily talk
Show them a colourful bag and ask:What is it? What colour is it? Revise colours.
2.A guessing game
Put a banana in the bag, let them guess.
T: Touch it and guess, what’s in my bag? S: …. T: Right. What colour is it? S: …. T: Touch it and guess again: What’s in my bag?
Step 2 Presentation
Present “flower”
T: Look! This is a flower. Practise to say the word. Show them some paper flowers and ask: what colour is it? S: The flower is…. Blackboard writing: The flower is ….
Present “butterfly” and ‘tree”.
T: The flower is so nice. Look, a butterfly and a bird are coming. (Practise to say the words butterfly and bird.) what colour is the butterfly? S: The butterfly is …. Practise it.
T: Yes, the butterfly is …. Oh, where is he bird? Oh, it’s in the tree. What colour is it? S: The tree is …. Practise.
Step 3 Practice
OK, now let’s look at the picture again and answer me: What is it? Practise flower, butterfly, bird and tree.
Try to describe the four things: The … is…. (Group in four.)
Good, it’s a beautiful garden, so many animals are coming. Guess: Who is coming first? Listen, it can say wolf, wolf, wolf, what is it? S: It’s a dog. T: What colour is it? S: ….
Present other animals in the same way (monkey, duck, bird, butterfly).
