一、分数的表示法分数由基数词和序数词构成——分子用基数词，分母用序数词。分子是“1”时，分母用单数：ne fifth (1/5), ne sixth (1/6) 分子超过“1”时，分母用复数：tw thirds (2/3), three fifths (3/5)【说明】1. 1/2 通常读作 a [ne] half，一般不读作a secnd。2. 1/4 可读作 a [ne] furth，也可读作 a [ne] quarter。
3. 比较复杂的分数用ver表示。分子（基数词）+ ver + 分母（基数词）。注意这里分子、分母全用基数词表示。例如：51/80：fifty-ne ver eighty 22/222：twenty-tw ver tw hundred and twenty-tw4. 带分数的读法：在整数与分数之间用and连接。例如： ：five and tw thirds
分数做主语 ① 如果f后面是可数名词单数形式，则谓语动词也用单数形式（三单）； 例如：Tw thirds f the chair is painted red. ② 如果f后面是可数名词复数形式，则谓语动词也用复数形式； 例如：Tw thirds f the students in my class are bys. ③ 如果f后面是不可数名词，则谓语动词也用单数形式（三单）；例如：One fifth f the water cmes frm the undergrund.
二、倍数的表示法表示倍数时通常借助half, duble, twice, three times等之类的词。（1）…倍数+形容词/副词的比较级+than…例如：This rpe is twice lnger than that ne． 这根绳比那根绳长两倍。 This classrm is five times bigger than urs． 这个教室比我们的教室大五倍。
（2）…倍数+as+形容词/副词+as…例如：Asia is fur times as large as Eurpe. 亚洲的面积是欧洲的四倍。 The plane flew ten times as high as the bird． 这架飞机飞行高度是那只鸟的十倍。
三、百分数的表示法百分数由基数词（或小数）和百分号（% ）组成，百分号（ % ）读作 percent。例如：15%：fifteen percent 0.6%：zer pint six percent 100%：ne hundred percent  12.34%：twelve pint three fur percent
【注意】由“百分数+f+名词”构成的名词词组作主语时，其后的动词形式依f词组中的名词类别而定。例如：Over eighty percent f the dctrs are men.  超过百分之八十的医生是男性。 Sixty percent f the water has been plluted.  百分之六十的水已经被污染了。
四、小数的表示法与汉语一样小数点前的数按普通基数词的读法去读，小数点后的数按单个数字一一读出。小数点后的0通常读作：〔əu〕，有时也读作zer，小数点读作pint。例如：1.56：ne pint five six 10.305：ten pint three five注意：被大于“1” 的小数修饰的名词要用复数，如说 1.3 meters，不说1.3 meter；即使是被小于“1”的小数修饰，名词也通常可以用复数。
