Step 1 . Warm-up
Intrduce the tpic with the pictures and fashin labels, put the pictures n the blackbard. Then teacher says: Bys and girls, tday I will be a shpkeeper. This is my clthes shp. I have many clthes in my shp. I wuld like t welcme yu t my shp and have a like at my clthes. Yu can buy the clthes yu like. Believe me. My clthes are all in the latest fashin and they are als cheaper.
Let the students chse the clthes they like and talk with them.
T: Which ne wuld yu like?
S: I’d like this ne.
T: It’s called bluse. It is a yellw bluse.
Help students revise the name f clthing and present the new wrds.
Step 2 . Presentatin
Ask students : “What are yu wearing tday?” Let the students answer and present Part A. Ask and answer with the students like this:
T: What is the by/ girl wearing?
S: He/ She is wearing...
T: What clr is it / are they?
S: It is/ They are pink.
Ask students t put the fllwing wrds in the crrect bxes and check it ut tgether.
Step 3 . Presentatin
The teacher cmes beside a student and says : I think yu lk beautiful in this cat. What size is yur cat?(The student answers: Size M) I like yur cat every much. But I’m afraid it is t small fr me. Maybe my daughter can wear it. Can yu lend it t me? Teach the new wrd “lend”.
Nw Millie is asking her mun t lend her sme clthes fr the fashin shw . listen t the cnversatin between Millie and her mun and answer the questin:
What size is Mum’s bluse?
Listen t the tape again and answer anther questin:
Wh can wear this bluse, Millie r Sandy?
Listen and repeat , then act it ut.
Explain the difference between brrw and lend.
brrw sth frm sb/ brrw sb’s sth lend sth. t sb./ lend sb sth.
E.g. Can I brrw a pen frm yu? = Can yu lend a pen t me?
Step 4 . Presentatin
Teacher says: We have lts f clthes. D yu need t chse what t wear every mrning? What abut Eddie? Let the students discuss then lead in the dialgue between Hb and Eddie.
Listen t the tape and answer the fllwing questins:
What is Eddie ding?
What des Hb think f Eddie?
Read it freely and ludly then act it ut.
