B ffer t d sth
D step
可推测出ld lady是作者的friend(朋友)
B 考察形容词词义辨析,通过空格后面的because she thught I was her daughter可推测出ld lady是非常高兴的
B 复合形容词的考察,she died,……but I was als very grateful t her.

A篇
56. A
细节理解,定位在原文第一段中的第一句话,“...,but he lst his jb a few mnths ag.”
57. D
细节题解,定位在原文第二段中“there was smething wrng with the car.”break dwn意为损坏。
58. D
Jimmy’s heart sank.”...,hw culd I pssibly pass this interview,he thught t himself”Jimmy
Over the years they have been sung and played in every pssible way —— frm jazz t cuntry. Gershwin’s musical wrks,“in every pssible way ”与 varius ways属于同义替换,所以选D。
In 1924, jazz musician and rchestra leader Paul Whiteman decided t rganize a special cncert t shw that jazz was serius music .其中“shw that jazz was serius music”和B选项是表达的一个意思,所以选B。
63答案选A。细节理解题,原文定位于第四段中“It still remains ne f his mst famus wrks.” An American in Paris,“ne f his mst famus wrks.”即A选项中的 ne f his best wrks.
64答案选B。推理判断题,读完整段之后,“Newspapers all ver the wrld reprted his death n their frnt pages.”即说明了B选项“The death f Gershwin was widely reprted.”
65答案选A。
67.答案 A
71答案:C;
And t make matters wrse ,its new wner had n plans t give it the funds it required.”
解析:“Althugh Sparrw shwed n sign f declining”排除A选项;“the chain was generally in an unhealthy state. “And t make matters wrse ,its new wner had n plans t give it the funds it required.”
72.答案:D;
He did a survey, which shwed that cnsumers wh already used Sparrw restaurants were extremely psitive abut the chain, while custmers f ther fast-fd chains were unwilling t turn away frm them..
73.答案:A;
Pearsn resisted, arguing fr an advertising campaign designed t cnvince custmers that visits t Sparrw restaurants were fun. Such an attempt t establish a psitive relatinship between a cmpany and the general public was unusual fr that time.
解析:关键句中”such an attempt t(表目的) establish a psitive relatinship between a cmpany and the general public”直接定位到正确答案A
74答案:B;
The TV ads f Sparrw fcused n entertainment and featured riginal sngs perfrmed by a variety f stars. Instead f shwing the superirity f a specific prduct, the intentin was t put Sparrw in the hearts f ptential custmers.
解析:因为“Instead f shwing the superirity f a specific prduct”,所以排除C选项;因“The TV ads f Sparrw fcused n entertainment and featured riginal sngs perfrmed by a variety f stars.”所以得出正确答案 B;A和D选项未涉及;
75答案:B;
These effrts paid ff, and Sparrw sn became ne f the mst successful fast-fd chains in the regins where it perated.
解析:因“their effrts paid ff”意为“他们的努力得到了回报”,而非偿清债务,所以排除选项A;因为“Sparrw sn became ne f the mst successful fast-fd chains in the regins where it perated”所以正确答案是B; C选项和D选项未涉及。
