1.  Warming up

Sing a song about snowman.

2.  Pre-task preparations

A.  Read and spell the key words one by one.

B.  Read the passage on the book.

C.  While-task procedures

a. Listen to the tape.

b. Read after teacher, and learn the new words and phrases.

E.g.: face, eye, ear, mouth, leg ...

c. 分角色朗读全文。

d. 教师引导学生使用本课重点句型进行情景对话。

D. Post-task activities

1. Make sentences with new phrases and words.

2. Tell your classmates how to make a snowman.

Steps:

1) We make a big snowball for the snowman’s body.

2) We make a small snowball for his head.

3) Let’s make a face on the snowman.

4) We have a carrot for his nose.

5) We have two stones for his eyes, a banana for his mouth and two potatoes for his ears.

6) We have two sticks for his arms.
