He plays soccer every Saturday.--John现在在做什么？  --他在踢足球。他每周六踢足球。 (1) right now此刻；马上，常与一般现在时或现在进行时连用。例如：He's not in the office right now. 他此刻不在办公室。I am going to school right now. 我马上去上学。(2) 这是一个既包含现在进行时又有一般现在时的句子。【拓展】一般现在时和现在进行时的区别：（一）用法不同：1. 一般现在时的主要用法： （1）表示人或事物的特征、状态。例如：We love sports very much. 我们非常喜欢运动。（2）表示经常或习惯性的动作。例如：I go to school at seven every day. 我每天七点钟去上学。（3）表示客观真理。例如：Light travels faster than sound. 光比声音传播得快。2. 现在进行时的主要用法： （1）表示现在正在进行或发生的动作。例如：She is doing her homework now. 现在她正在做作业。(2) 表示现阶段正在进行的动作，但讲话时动作未必正在进行。例如：They are planting trees these days. 这些天他们正在植树。（二）句型结构不同1. 一般现在时的句型结构：（1）be动词：主语+be(am/ is /are)+其他。例如：I am a teacher. 我是一名老师。（2）实义动词：主语+实义动词+其他。例如：We speak Chinese. 我们讲汉语。【温馨提示】当主语为第三人称单数(he/ she/ it)时，要把谓语动词变成第三人称单数形式。例如： He likes English. 他喜欢英语。2. 现在进行时的句型结构：主语+be(am/is/are)+v-ing+其他。例如：I am watching TV. 我正在看电视。（三）时间状语不同1. 一般现在时的时间状语：always, usually, often, sometimes, every day, on Sundays, in the morning/ afternoon/ evening等。例如：We play football in the afternoon. 我们下午踢足球。2. 现在进行时的时间状语：now, these days, at the moment等，有时句首有look, listen或“It’s+时刻”等词句存在。例如：I am reading a newspaper now. 我现在在看报纸。II. 趁热打铁。 1.—Where is Joan?—She        a novel in her study.A. has read   B. reads    C. will read     D. is reading2.
