A new study shws a link between bad technlgy and higher stress levels f emplyees. Researchers frm American cmputer cmpany Dell Technlgies led the study. Dell partnered with neurscience cmpany EMOTIV n the study.
The research invlved experiments in which brainwaves were measured as peple were put thrugh a series f bad technlgy experiences. The experiments invlved adults f many ages with different levels f cmputer skills. Subjects were tested with simple cmputer prblems, like trubled signin peratins. Others dealt with slwspeed cnnectins t the Internet. Still thers experienced system crashes.
“The mment peple started using bad technlgy, we saw a dubling f their levels f stress,” said Olivier Oullier, president f EMOTIV. “I was a bit surprised by that, because yu rarely see thse levels ging s high,” he added. The experiments shwed that technlgyrelated stress had a lasting effect, Oullier added. “Peple dn't relax back int calmness quickly. It takes a lng time.”
