He als didn't riginally intend t inspire thers, but that's exactly what happened. Shrtly after he started psting, his inbx filled with messages frm peple wh had als adpted senir dgs. His fame led t a bk, which teaches kids abut valuing what is ld instead f lking fr the next new thing. He nw keeps nine elderly dgs at a time, and when they pass away, he adpts new nes in their hnur and in hnur f Wlfgang.
Part f Greig's ppularity n scial media is frm his family prtraits and his updates f the animals, but the ther part is frm the unique names he gives his pets. When I talk t kids abut writing, I ften cmpare it t the rller caster t remind them t mix laughs with thrills in writing, because nbdy wants t ride a rller caster that's a lng, never-ending and terrifying ne. Even Shakespeare, in his darkest tragedies, pens each act with a funny scene befre the swrds and daggers r pisn cme ut. We need cmic relief in literature, a break in the tensin.
I have always tried t write stries fr kids that mix the heart-racing thrill f a mystery with a few jkes. Maybe this is because, when I was in the fifth and sixth grades, the fun cmic magazine was my favrite reading material. Then in high schl, was the class clwn. When I first mved t New Yrk City, I perfrmed with ne f the city's tp cmedy grups. Cmedy, I have discvered, is a great teaching tl. It is als a wnderful defense against fear.

Thanks s much!
Will R.
Cmedy is a writer's tl fr releasing tensin and it als simply makes bks mre fun t read. I als think it's why s many reluctant readers-including kids wh haven't read a bk in years-have been crazy abut Escape frm Mr. Lemncell's Library and Mr. Lemncell's Library Olympics. Learning the Dewey Decimal System in maths class can be fun if it is presented in a funny way. Because when we're laughing, we never think we're wrking t hard.

S, we wuld like t understand the fundamental prcesses f planet frmatin and evlutin using this planetary system.”
Daylan added that it was a “win-win" t wrk with Pinglé and Wright n the study. “As a researcher, I really enjy interacting with yung brains that are pen t experimentatin and learning and have minimal bias.” he said. “I als think it is very beneficial t high schl students, since they get expsure t cutting-edge research and this prepares them quickly fr a research career.”
