Step 1

Lead in

1.Show the pictures and ask students to make dialogues about what they can/can’t do.

2.Give instructions of guessing game.

1.Act out the dialogues in pairs about what they can/can’t do with the pictures.

2.Play a guessing game and ask their partners some questions in order to guess which monitor they would like to be? eg:

Are you ready to help others?

(1)Review and consolidate can/can’t do

(2)Choose the best monitors.

While-task

1.Let students do Activity 3&4 and then check the answers.

2.Ask them to do Activity 1,and add the activities to the list as many as they can.

3.Ask them to write questions for Activity 1.

3.Try to have a match for writing on the blackboard. (See which group can write the most correct phrases of the four groups.)

4.Two students will collect the phrases on the blackboard. And see which group will do the best.

5.Write questions and get ready to ask and answer in pairs.
