Unit 8 Green livingLesson 1 Roots and shoots教学设计教材分析 本节课是这个单元的第一个课时，主要介绍了环境保护组织“Roots and Shoots”,是学生在阅读的过程中明白勿以善小而不为，勿以恶小而为之，保护环境需要每个人的努力。 教学目标与核心素养 语言技能目标：（1）能够用所学单词，句子介绍“Roots and Shoots”（2）能够运用所学知识说服他人加入到保护环境中来。（3）能够完成课堂所给任务。   2. 语言知识目标：能够正确运用以下单词：bothered, not be bothered to do, take action, institute, firm, foundation, brick, all around the world等。 3. 文化意识目标：能够明白保护环境人人有责4. 情感态度目标：（1）意识到环境保护需要每个人的努力。（2）积极从自身做起，保护环境。（3）明白勿以善小而不为，勿以恶小而为之 正确认识、对待艺术家的作品，以及对艺术家的积极评价。教学重难点 重点：1. 用书中所学知识介绍Roots and Shoots这个组织。锻炼学生任务型阅读的能力。难点：1.能用地道的语言介绍Roots and Shoots这个组织。2.能够提升任务型阅读能力。    教学过程  教学步骤教学活动设计意图  Step IWarming up and lead in let students find what happened in the pictures .Let students think whether they have done the same things,Let them think what would happen if every one did the same thing.  先用图片引起学生兴趣，之后通过问题让同学们思考自己日常的行为，这会让学生更容易融入到情境中。在用问题如果大家都这样做会发生什么把学生导入到文章情境中来，从而为阅读做准备。Step 2Fast-reading     Let students read para1 and discuss the questions.What is “just-me-ism”?2. Why is “just-me-ism” a problem?3. Do you have any suggestions on how to solve the problem?    设置简单的问题，培养学会快速阅读完成任务的能力。通过讨论为什么“just-me-ism”是个问题以及是否有解决问题的办法，激发学生继续往后阅读寻找方法的兴趣。    Step 3 Careful-readingLet student scan the text and finish the table.通过跳读了解“Roots and Shoots”的基本信息             Step 4Deep-readingLet Ss read the text carefully and answer the questions.  Let Ss prepare a presentation to introduce “Roots and Shoots” .     Group work: Think and ShareLet Ss discuss 1. From the perspective of a community of a shared future, how do you understand Roots & Shoots?2. What technique does the writer use to make his/her view logical and convincing ? Find at least one example for each technique.3. Can you suggest another title for the text? Explain your answer. 进一步阅读使学生了解更多关于“Roots and Shoots ”的内容。 之前都是文章的输入，现在通过用做一个Presentation的形式来输出学到的内容。    1.通过让学生思考自己是如何理解“Roots and Shoots”这个组织的，使学生更加了解这个组织2.通过思作者的写作技巧以及作者是如何使文章有逻辑以及令人信服，使学生学习作者的写作方法，为日后的写作打基础。          Step 5Focus on language  Complete the summary  Match the words in bold with their function     Let Ss complete the text with the correct form of the verbs in brackets.What is the function of each verb form ? 总结文章使学生在回顾课文内容的同时，练习重点单词的使用。 使学生理解Ving和Ved形式在句中可以做哪些成分    为做语篇填空题打好基础
