1c: Student A is a new student. Student B tells Student A about the rules above. 2a: Listen. Check (√) the activities Alan and Cindy talk about. 2b: Listen again. Can Alan and Cindy do these activities? Circle can or can’t above. Listen again and fill in the blanks.
2c: Student A is Alan and Student B is Cindy. Talk about the rules in 2a. 2d: Listen to the conversaation and the following questions.

arrive作不及物动词,意为“到达”=get to,其后不能直接跟宾语,后常接in(大地方)或at(小地方)。 例:他们六点钟到北京。 They arrive in Beijing at six? 我们通常在早上到达车站。 We usually arrive at the station in the morning. “三到达” 辨析(arrive, reach 与get to ) arrive 不及物动词,后接大地点用in,小地点用at。 reach 及物动词,意为“到达”,后直接跟地点。 get to 后接名词,常用于get to+地点名词。 当arrive和get后接地点副词,如here, there或home等时,介词要省略。 例:他们坐飞机到北京。 They arrive in Beijing by plane. They reach Beijing by plane. They get to Beijing by plane. 选词填空: in, at, to 1. My teacher usually gets ___ school at 7:00 in the morning. 2. When does she usually arrive ____ the bus station? 3. They ________ practice violin every day. 4. --What are the rules? 规则是什么? --Well, we can't arrive late for class. 哦,我们上课不能迟到。 1) rule规则, 可数名词, 构成的短语有: obey/follow the rules 遵守规章 be against the rules break the rules school rules 校纪 = the rules of the school class rules 班规 = the rules of the class family rules 家规= the rules of a family rule还可以用作动词, 意为“统治,支配”。 e.g. A young king rules the country very well. 一位年轻的国王把这个国家统治得很好。 2) late “迟, 晚” (形容词或副词) e.g. Why are you late? 你为什么迟到? Sorry, I come late. 对不起,我来晚了。 be late for+n.=arrive late for (对)……迟到 e.g. Don’t be/arrive late for work / class /meeting. 上班/上课/开会别迟到。
