Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming up & Revision 1. Greet the class. 2. Enjoy the song This old hat. 3. Oral communication. Introduce one’s clothes shop. 4. Let’s chant. Shirt, shirt, this is my shirt. Present this, that, these, those and compare. 5. Play a Missing game to review the words of Unit 5. 6. Recite the dialogues of let’s talk and act it out. Step 2 Presentation & Practice
T: Can I have your …? Ss: Sure. Practice the sentence with more objects and help the Ss understand its meaning. 2. Present some pictures and lead out a party. Help the Ss under- stand its meaning. 3. Make a situation. Zoom’s school is going to have a party, too. Let’s see what Zoom will wear. 4. Watch the video. Pay attention to some difficulties. A. Words holes, tie these & cut ... for... B. Sentences What for? How do I look? You’ll be the star. 5. Listen and answer the questions. A. What does Zoom want from his father? B.How does Zoom look like? 6. Check the answers. 7. Listen and repeat. 8. Role-play between T & Ss, Bs & Gs, free talk and present at the front. 9. Act out the dialogue. Step 3 Consolidation & Extension 1.
