Enjoy the song and then sing together.  Animals, animals are everywhereStep 2  Presentation & Practice1. Lead in the topic. Do you like animals? Whats your favourite animal? I like dogs best. Look! Its my dog. The dog is mine.  Show the picture of my dog and the sentences on PPT. Then focus on the word mine.2. Try to make sentences with the word mine. Its my .  The is mine.3. Present a dog show and tell the Ss We joined a dog show last Sunday. I took some pictures on the show. Now lets enjoy the pictures. Look and answer the question Whose dog is it? Help the Ss answer Its Zooms/Mikes dog. Its his dog. The dog is his. 4. Lead out the other new words hers, theirs, ours in the same way. Focus on the usages of these words. Then try to make sentences with these words.5. Find the rules and fill in the blanks.6. Play a guessing game.  Show a book and ask Whose book is it? Ss try to guess The book is his/hers/theirs/7. Take out some Ss things, point and say.  eg. T: This is my schoolbag.   Ss: This schoolbag is mine.     T: Its her pencil-box.     Ss: The pencil-box is hers.8. Practice the sentence patterns in pairs.  A: Its my/your/his/her/our/their   B: The is mine/yours/his/hers/ours/theirs.9. Sum up the different usages of the pronouns. Take notes.Step 3  Consolidation & Extension1. Finish the exercise Look, say and complete on Page 49. Then check the answers.2. Do exercises.A. Translate the sentences into English.B.
