    Discveries at the famus Sanxingdui ruins in Suthwest China shw that the regin’s ancient Shu Kingdm Civilizatin shared similarities with the Maya.
    The Sanxingdui ruins belnged t the Shu Kingdm that existed at least 4,800 years ag and lasted mre than 2,000 years, while the Mayan civilizatin built its city-states arund 200 AD.
    The brnze-made remains f tress unearthed at the ruins f the Shu Kingdm resemble the sacred ceiba tree, which symblized the unin f heaven, earth and the underwrld in the Mayan civilizatin. “They are very imprtant similarities,” says Sants, a Mexican archaelgist (考古学家) stressing that “the representatins f tress in bth cultures prvide a symblism that is very similar”.
    The findings at the Sanxingdui ruins, cnsidered ne f the greatest archaelgical discveries f the 20th century, als shw ne aspect f Brnze Age culture, indicating the ancient civilizatin already had technlgies that were thught t have been develped much later.
