Unit 3 How do you get to school?Section A (1a-1c) 年级:班级:授课老师:科目:第__单元第___课时年级组长:教学内容:本节课的主题是谈论出行方式,主要是通过听说学习和练习谈论日常生活或工作中常用的交通出行方式,练习怎样询问和回答交通方式。三维教学目标知识目标 学生能够认读识记下面的新单词和短语,理解它们的意思和用法。新单词:train , bus , subway , ride , bike短语: take the subway , ride a bike 学生能理解和运用下面的新句型进行交谈对话。—How do you get to school?—I get to school by bike.—I take the subway. 能力目标1.学生们能谈论how to get to places。2.同学们通过课堂的听说练习能够提高英语听说能力。情感目标同学们能提高自己的交际能力。教学重难点重点 帮助同学们掌握新单词和短语和句型的意义和运用。难点怎样能向同学们解释清楚这些新单词短语和句型的意思和用法。主要教学步骤Step 1: Lead-in(1) Greet the class with a smile as usual.(2) The teacher will show students some pictures of traffic tools such as bike, bus, train, subway...and ask students some questions:What are these in English?What are these used to do?5 minutes will be given. Then some students will be invited to share these questions for the whole class. The teacher will give his own comments on these answers.Step 2:PresentationThe teacher will show a short video to students. In this video, a boy gets to school by bike, a girl goes to work by subway, and some old people travel by bus. The teacher asks questions and asks the students to answer them. (第一个问题,老师自己回答,后面的两个问题,如果学生不会老师可以提供帮助。)T:How does the boy get to school?T:The boy gets to school by bike.T: How does the girl go to work?Ss:The girl goes to work by subway.(老师可以帮助学生如果必要)T: How does these old people travel?Ss:These old people travel by bus.Step 3:Practice(1)Ask the students to look at the picture in part 1a carefully and pay attention to which vehicles appear on the picture. Then match the words with the pictures. The teacher explained the meaning and usage of the new words, phrases and sentence patterns. Then check the answers. (2)Ask the students to look at 1b and the picture in 1a again. Then play the recording. After listening , ask the students to try to complete the task of 1b. Two minutes later, play the recording again. After listening, check the answers.(3)Pair workDivide the students into groups of two, ask them to look at the picture in 1a and make conversations. They can make it like this:A:How does Mary get to school?B:She takes the subway.In a few minutes, several groups will be invited to the front of the classroom to perform their conversation. If students make mistakes during the performance conversation, the teacher should correct them in time. 板书设计:New words and phrases:train , bus , subway , ride , biketake the subway , ride a bikeImportant sentences:—How do you get to school?—I get to school by bike.—How does Mary get to school?—She takes the subway.小结: In this period, we have learned some new words, phrases and sentence patterns.
