    S2:Abut 800 000.
    T:D yu knw the lngest wrd?
    S3:Srry,I dn’t knw.
    T:Let’s see this wrd.It has abut 1 900 letters in it.
    S4:It’s amazing.
    T:Lk at this sentence:The quick brwn fx jumps ver the lazy dg.Hw many wrds des the sentence have?
    S5:It has 26 letters.
    Leading in 【情景2】
    Wrk in grups.Ask the students t talk abut the ways t learn English.They may talk abut the fllwing questins:
    (1)What d yu think f English?
    (2)Is it hard r difficult t learn English?
    (3)Hw d yu remember English wrds?
    (4)What English wrds d yu think are interesting?
    After a few minutes, ask the grups t give a speech in frnt f the class.

    Step 2.Presentatin
    1.Teacher shuld teach the new wrds and phrases in this part:letter, exactly, fact, sentence, quick, lazy, even, dig, in fact, in the English language, dig in.Teacher leads the students t learn the new wrds and phrases.Teacher can use the pictures.

    S7:Yes, he is.
    T:Nw read after me “quick”.
    S:Quick.
    2.The students wrk in pairs.Try t make sentences with the new wrds and expressins.
    T:Nw let’s try t make mre sentences with the wrds and expressins in pairs.
    S8:Hw can I learn English well? If yu are lazy, yu can’t learn English well.
    S9:Yu can read mre English bks.
    S8:Must I knw every wrd exactly?
    S9:N, yu needn’t.In fact, yu can guess the meaning.
    S8:I knw if I’m lazy, I can’t learn anything.
    S9:Yu’re right.Yu must wrk hard.
    Step 3.Practice
    1.Ask the students t read the text.Chse the best students t praise them.
    2.Ask the students t make sentences with the wrds, expressins and drills f the text.
    3.Design mre questins and ask the students t answer them.
