Tday I want t talk abut the imprtance f being prepared. There is a famus saying that ges: “If yu fail t prepare, prepare t fail.” It’s famus because it is s true. Let me share with yu a stry that happened t me recently that prves this.
Over the summer, I had t get the main bedrm f my huse rebuilt. Last week, I rganized fr a building examinatin fr 11:00 n Mnday. Well, at 10:55, I was still in the shwer. I had frgtten all abut it! When the examiner kncked n the dr, I rushed ut f the shwer. Hwever, I hadn’t taken the time t upgrade all the paperwrk. I was ttally unprepared — nt t mentin cmpletely embarrassed! By 11:05, the examiner had left. He culdn’t wait arund fr me t get ready as he was scheduled fr anther jb smewhere else. I made him angry by wasting his time. Unfrtunately, I had t bk anther appintment — and I had t pay twice!
